SPEED ENERGY STADIUM SUPER TRUCKS™ SERIES ANNOUNCES CHANGES TO 2013 SCHEDULE

CHARLOTTE, NC (June 18, 2013) – Robby Gordon OFF ROAD™ announced today that its Stadium SUPER Trucks™ Series (SST) will make venue and schedule changes that will alter the remainder of its 2013 schedule. Included is the addition of an SST event July 13 and 14 in Toronto.

According to series founder Robby Gordon, administering the first six races of the season in a span of only nine weeks was a difficult but rewarding challenge for the Stadium SUPER Trucks Series workers and crew.

“With such an immense undertaking in staging huge events like this around the country, and running six races in nine weeks, the schedule didn’t always allow us to optimize event preparation and race vehicle maintenance,”

Gordon said.

“We learned a lot that will help us continue to bring the most exciting brand of motorsports to racing fans everywhere. The improvements in our schedule for 2013 will enhance our program by helping us build our brand and position SST for a great 2014 season and beyond.”

New venues include 2 races in Toronto July 13-14 in conjunction with the IndyCar Series; Chicagoland Speedway July 19-20; and Crandon (WI) International Off Road Raceway August 30-Sept.1.

More details on the SST race at Toronto will be released later this week.

Removed from the original schedule are Chicago’s Soldier Field (June 22); Atlanta’s Georgia Dome (July 6); Dallas Cowboys Stadium (July 13); and the Minneapolis Metrodome (July 20).

The series is expected to announce in the coming weeks two additional events west of the Rockies for September and another in October.

SPEED Energy Stadium SUPER Trucks opened its season in Glendale, Ariz., on April 6th, and recently completed five more races over the following nine-week period that included the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, two events at San Diego’s Qualcomm Stadium, and the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis.

Looking at the new schedule the two races on pavement in Toronto then straight to Joliet, IL 6 days later will make for a tough week. Saving grace is I assume very little track preparation at both venues. Do you think though that the pavement races in Toronto could be tough on the trucks? Pavement equals higher speeds certainly and harder potential crashes. Better have the whole fleet ready and hope they don't get held up at the border crossing back into the states.

My guess is the California venue, if it will be a stadium will be Candlestick. The niners are moving into their new stadium in San Jose, so that leaves the Candlestick as a completely empty venue. It was built as a baseball/football stadium so it has a large footprint. I, also, guess that the rent could be a little cheaper. Who knows. It would be nice to see it in an actual stadium, though.

Candlestick would be a great venue. ROADTRIP!!!!!

That's what I was thinking, Candlestick. I never thought the precious Giants would sully their newer stadium with the unwashed masses that frequent motorsports events. Especially coming off a World Series title.

Maybe Someone in the shop or on this board or who is involved with this board and shop or (I'd like to continue but I think you know who you are) could provide suggest and or hint at what crossing the trucks will be taking to get to Toronto. All I'm saying is that it is not too late to do a "stop over" in BUFFALO at a SUNOCO location if the trucks were to cross here. Lets see how much more humble I can be..........Event / product promo for folks around here. You're coming through anyway "why the hell not" BUFFALO NY is one of the top 300 cities in the country......we were bumped out of the top 250 when canada became part of the united states....but hey.......Any way Trucks run on diesel and diesel is more expensive in canada than here so you should schedule a refuel in BUFFALO. Let the begging begin. "Why not a stop and promo in BUFFALO?" The fine folks at the top would love it.......maybe Rob can jump one of the trucks over the falls. Park the trucks over night and stop by the house for a swim I'll have 500 wings lathered up and ready to go. (by trucks you know I'm refering to the haulers)........I can see my boss coming ......he lost a bet on the Hawks Bruins game and has to wear a big orange ballon on a string.....I think as payment he should have been forced to do his job.....(shut the F up and stay in his...............ME HAVE A BOSS.........LOL HA HA........I almost choked.........So what's the real story..... the entire caravan gonna come trhough BUFFALO at like 2am and sneak by like a thief in the night.........One thing you may not know about BUFFALO we are the grunts and mixed nuts that love this sort "O" shit.......sure we might rinse a burger off if it fell on the floor but if it hits the dirt at a cookout we flip it to get both sides. We might have one of the lowest manufacturing capabilities at current but the pacemaker was invented in BUFFALO. We might have the best bass fishing in the world but you'll see us promoting it.........You see we are just a bunch of humble down to earth genious.....geniuos.....geeney.........well anyway stop in on your way and you might find that as we shake your hand and the second one is coming out as well its not going for your wallet.....it's going over the top of the other one. BUFFALO "A place you can call home..........from"

They're playing the Colts on the 22nd, so it'd have to be next year, if the stadium isn't demo'd by then. (My guess is it won't be). The Stick is a piece thats not nearly as convenient as ATT or O.co.

Candlestick will be leveled within days of the last football game. There is no use any longer for it and people have big plans for the land.

Plus, I don't see NorCal supporting an event like this in the numbers that Robby would want.

I wouldn't be so sure...If there is a delay at Santa Clara the Stick may be needed. But once its done, down with the Stick. I think lancaster makes the most sense at this time.

If not the 'Stick, how about Oakland/Alameda? Both are multi-use, and really big field area.

California residents are lucky

Orange County speedway!:)

the old CORR would be good being that it is only 5min away from mex. if it is even there still
