Yesterday was the limit for me.
My teams are getting worse, not better.
Sponsorship issues.
The COT/POS sucks. That was a terrible "race" Sunday.
NASCAR has their head in the sand.
DODGE is brain dead, the body lives only by life support and someone has their hand on the plug.
Not much positive out there on the horizon... (deep sigh)

I thought it was a great race. McMurray should've won but at least Crazy Carl won to keep it interesting. C'mon man, true an are there win lose or draw. Everyone knew that Robby would be bad because he's running the old chassis.
Yeah... cookie cutter tracks/ cars, painfully long races, and NASCAR taking a steaming dump on its history (taking dates from older/unique tracks and treatment of teams who got them where they are today like the Petty's and Wood Brothers) make it difficult to stick with. Its sad really. And although Ford supposedly re-upped with the Wood Brothers, they have really hung them out to dry too. However, I will continue to watch until RGM closes shop (whenever that happens) because Robby is carrying the torch Alan Kulwicki lit years ago and competing in NASCAR the way it was meant to be done.
The number Seven Torch... the heart and soul of RGM. I see the flame fading and it breaks my heart.
Problem is too many cookie cutter tracks that make for boring racing. Some of them are good, like Michigan and Vegas, but most of them just suck arse.

They need to add 1 more road course, give Daytona and Talledega one more race each (or find another suitable restrictor plate track to host 2 races), give Darlington back their 2nd race, and add another 1 or 2 1/2 mile to a mile short track races.

To accomodate this, get rid of California alltogether..that track sucks. (there's your 2 extra RP races)

Pocono loses a date, theres your extra roadie.

We don't need to go to Texas twice, so take one of those and give Darlignton back their 2nd race.

And Atlanta loses a date and give it to another deserving short track..either a new facility or give Richmond a 3rd date..lol

If you want one more short track, then Michigan needs to cough up a date..

There, I just fixed Nascar in 5 minutes time :D
amen. those changes would definitely be a step in the right direction. Fontana blows for sure! Darlington should never have lost that date. Another road course and more plate track dates would make it interesting for sure. Montreal possibly??
just a very long season , and it's been a tough year being a RG fan(especially with the road course troubles and all the changes). That being said, at least things are looking good for 2009.
TOG, I hope to have your positive outlook.
Right now, i can't muster up anything.
I trust your optimism is fueled by a few things you know and can't share with us right now.
It's fueled by me knowing he will pull his hauler into Daytona in 2009, whereas some teams racing now might not.
i agree ever since the change with the cars , BORING, there is just no competition, i only watch the start of the race and then the end of it.
Didn't NASCRAP say the new car would level the playing field? This is the most aero dependent dump truck you could have put together, not to mention that ridiculous looking import tunerwing on the back! The races have sucked this year period! The guy out front stays out front. Who the hell wants to watch that? Yesterday, IMO was NASCRAP trying to manufacture drama. Hey Carl you get a couple extra gallons of gas this week and we will skip the mystery cautions just to make this chase look like it might be a real competition! This stuff has turned in to pro wrestling on wheels. So like you Keith I am just about over it!
The races are still good if you record them and blast thru all the crap, it usually takes me about 45 minutes to watch any race and see everything that happened. what I don't see I get on Wind Tunnel. ABC's coverage has made me sick, commercials every ten laps regardless of what's happening. I bet at least 7 of 10 cautions have been during commercial breaks, good riddance to ABC.
If you want exceitment during with your racing watch the IRL restarts and when those idots run three wide for 5 or 10 laps.
It takes them longer to spread out then in NASCAR and they do more side by side or close in racing then NASCAR. It also could be the TV coverage doesn't do as many close in one car shots as in NASCAR.
