Based on his average times of the field it looks like he will run in the back with the usual suspects. My guess is he will finish probably in the high 30's and down 4 to 5 laps. The backup just doesn't get it done.
it is what it is....keep it off the wall tomarrow and get the best finish possible
It will still be a good day. If they can put this past them and push forward, RGM can still have a decent points day. And let's not forget....this is racing! Anything can happen!
Maybe tomorrow will be a good race but what RG said after quals is bothering me "I have to be honest, I hit the wall in practice and really was a little cautious on that qualifying lap. The car was good; it felt good and fast. I didn’t driver Turn 1 hard enough and was afraid of Turn 2 from the practice incident." Then the incident today. Once a driver starts using words like that, their competitive days are running out.
Agreed. I do not think RG is afraid of crashing. He was just afraid of tearing up the TTCOT.
agreed. that would be like opening a can of worms.
There is a difference between cautious and afraid. And no, I am not thinking that it is near time for RG to hang up his helmet.
Was that last week when RG made a comment about Hornish's driving and asking WTH he was doing? Brandon told him on the scanner not to be scared, he could get past him (or something to that affect)

Clues to what broke dangling from the undercarriage?
boy--WJM, you're good. That almost looks like the end of the lift strap hanging down on the right BUT that looks like the end of the tie rod hanging down on the left. Didn't RG have a tie rod problem at Lowe's with this same chassis after the "air gun incident"? That RF tire angle is nasty.
looks like alot of stuff broke....LOL

looks like RG hit the wall pretty hard
ok. spell it out for me, what is the most positions the 47 (00) can finish ahead of RG?
