As of 12-4-12, there has been NO ANNOUNCEMENT from RGM about it's plans for the upcoming 2013 Dakar Rally. The entry list at Dakar.com is NOT the final entry list. With the rally starting in Peru ( instead of Argentina ), it's almost 3,000 miles closer than past rallies for shipping the vehicles. I believe we should hear something official very soon. Keep in mind some of Robby's 2012 Dakar plans didn't take shape until late November / early December 2011.

This year's race goes "off piste" on the first stage. They will be hitting big dunes right away. Starting late in the line up shouldn't be as big of a handicap as it is in Baja where you are mostly stuck on the same trail. In fact., it might help as there will be tracks to follow and those ahead will be marking the danger spots by being stuck in them.

No official announcement yet. Patience..................

The French article posted previously was an assumption based on the open slots on the entry list and should not be construed as an authorized or official statement from Team Gordon.

Doh... like hitting the Planetrobby.com hive with a stick!

More like gas on a fire lol

Theyre talking about 2 french officials at the RG HQ in Charlotte. 2013 is Robby's Dakar! Lets Sho'em How It's Done!

Who is "they?"

French officials in North Carolina ?

Let the wild rumors begin !

It amazes me how RG built a Hummer, two wheel drive, big tires and went racing in Dakar. Now, everybody is doing the same thing...crazy

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery ? Maybe but they will always be just what they are CHEAP KNOCKOFF COPIES :~)

the only thing not cheap about them is the price they paid for their wanna b knockoffs lol

Cant wait to see those Walmart Buggies run over by Da Hummer!
