Just a thought to throw out that when the "Dinger" gets his release to resume racing in Nascar, you know that someone... some sponsor is going to want to get associated with AJ because of the story it will generate in the media. Whoever starts getting their ducks in a row now will be able to capitalize on some good tv time and good press for sticking with him.
Lets see RGM has the equipment and if a sponsor was tracked down to pay the bills, then what are the thought of RG Nation as to if he would be a welcome addition to jump in a car and let RG do his ownership part???
Just thoughts... Interested to see what ya'll think out there.

I think, ANY DRIVER, who brings the right $$$$ , can probably get into the car. I just dont see any high profile company with the proper funds attaching themselves to Dinger after all this. Kurt Busch, a FORMER champ, multi race winner, can't even get a sponsor after his troubles of years past( and they weren't even substance abuse )

But would anyone out there pick RGM?

I think there are teams in better position than RGM to provide a seat for purchase.RCR, Roush, Gibbs, and Stewart-Haas all have room for additional teams, if sponsor $ can be found.

Even at the B&C Level, Baldwin, BK, Front Row would probably produce a seat with a T35 standing for someone who had dough.

I love Robby, but by not being at the track, the cup program is falling behind and wouldn't keep up with the B level teams at this point. Which is fine, as RG's attention is where it belong, IMO - SST, BITD, SCORE, Dakar.

aside from maybe the Breaking Bad DVD series stepping up...jk dinger. Gonna take a company with balls to step up in this PC squeaky clean corporate world.

Ryan Braun might argue with the all of this "squeaky clean image" stuff. Following his successfully appealed PED case, his endorsements went from approximately $2M/year up to $5M this year. Granted, he was the National League MVP last year as well, but he won his appeal on a technicality and the public opinion (outside of Milwaukee) is that he was guilty.

Apparently that didn't bother Nike, AirTran, and a handful of other major companies...

AJ's NASCAR stats were sub par at best prior to his positive test, otherwise I would agree with you.

But Braun got cleared....i'm just saying for the Most part, these fortune 500 companies that are flipping the bill, are going for a pretty conservative Nascar crowd...imo i think it does matter what you get busted for & Steroids- no good...but a controlled substance style- amphetamine, speed, too much sudafed...whatever- You still come up dirty and look just like what they call that stuff = Shit. This ain't the entertainment, hollywood crowd were talking about...where a guy like Charlie Sheen can come off like a here. imo

Not Even comparing the two by the way..just an example. I personally think the Dinger can't be that stupid to be messing with something...maybe a supplement, someone (maybe the home problems...Someone slipped it in his burrito) haa something, just don't think the guy got that far being that stupid.

meant Charlie Sheen "hero"

Braun also was not cleared. He won because someone messed up the protocol not because he was clean.

However you wanna look at it... but his suspension was reversed and he won his appeal.

Eric.......are you saying Braun was not clean ?

Trooper.......what was the technicality ?

Michael Phelps has won an amazing 21 medals at the Olympics. Remember the photos of him hitting the bong a few years ago? He kind of said it was his only time, but many of his friends cracked up at that comment. NASCAR's drug policy might be just a little overboard, don't ya think?

I kind of feel bad for AJ, but he was given a shot in a top car and his results were very marginal at best. He was going to lose that ride anyway. Plus, something that isn't talked about much is that he was arrested for drunk driving in 2009. I know to NASCAR that is not too big a deal. But he does kind of like to be on the edge maybe.

His last year in Indy cars he did good. A third place for the season if I remember correctly. I am thinking he will find a ride back there. Does Indy car even have drug tests?
