From what I understand is there are no official tours for the shop but, if you stop by you may get a chance to check some stuff out. If you do get in take some pics Jeff.

I went by there 6 mos ago and walked in the front door. A guy walked out and said no tours are offered. He said I could look through the windows along the north side of the building and they have a narrow concrete path you can walk along. You can see a lot of stuff but it hardly compares to what I was hoping for. Drive around the back and you can see more of what's in the shop if the roll up doors are open.

OK, when you get there, just tell em, I sent you. When they fall on the floor laughing.....run thru the door. Should this happen not to work, try the ol "oh hey, theres Robby" line. Your gonna want to set your cam to high speed & step lively. Some of those guys in the shop are pretty good at wingin wrenches, lol

or tell them you know TOG?

that might get one executed :)

The last time I was back there the guy at the front desk roughed me up real good for mentioning TOG's name.

lol

All joking aside go to MWR and pay the $10 to get the tour and to be able to walk and see the whole shop. By far the best shop to see and they let you see way more then you will see at any other shop. I have been and seen just about all of them (Even RGM) and what they let you see at MWR is impressive. I have gotten a few private tours of some of the bigger team shops and what you see at MWR is as close as you will ever get to a private tour.

Quite a drive from where the other shops are located, but RCR is pretty cool. the old RCR shop is now the museum and that is pretty cool, even if you were never a Dale Sr fan. The after the museum you can walk around the corner to the new building and check it out. Skip DEI as it is a joke and nothing to see.

Feel free to send me a PM and I can give you some suggestions about what to see and where to go.

I went to the shop a year or so ago. All the people couldn't have been nicer. I met all the crew had a look around the haulers, took lots of pics too.. AND the "7" decal that was going on to the back of the car for that weeks race at Bristol! Was on holiday in the US at the time, but had ordered a RG crew shirt on line and thought i'd pop down and get it. I realise i was very lucky to be let walk around in the shop and the haulers... If anyone remembers the 2 mad englishmen, thank you for putting up with us......
