STAGE 8 TRACKING

STAGE 8: Copiapo > Antofagasto

Connection 245km | Special Stage 477km | Total 722km

COURSE OVERVIEW

At this stage of the competition, the number of contenders for the title will be reduced to a small handful in each category. But despite the significant number of kilometres to be covered, this first stage after the rest day should not be relied on to create decisive gaps. The rally's longest special stage will be used to allow the competitors to get back into the pace of the competition. On the stone-covered tracks which will lead to Antofagasta, the pace will be rather intense, but this will not prevent the drivers from catching sight of some magnificent views.

You are correct. I did not search DEEP enough to find it on their website. Although it was really easy to find that Carl Edwards is going to co-host w/Kelly Rippa..... WTH Come on MAN

Not to mention the Kasey Kahne rant over breast feading in public.

I'm going with Robby takes over the overall standing after this Stage.

pockrass does a decent job in reporting what Robby does on a daily basis at least through twitter.

Just the fact that so much energy is being given to weather or not Nascar gives a crap should tell you they don't. Robby is not just a top class driver but also one hell of a team leader. Nasser is on fire and we all hope Robby doesn't lose anymore time saving his a$$. I'm a firm believer in Karma having a way and Robby will be on top with Nasser's help.

GAS ON!!!!

just lookin at stage 8 on google earth,,, IMO looks like good Hummer stage.
Can't wait!

Since ktm pilot was so kind as to get back on the subject of the 8th stage and all I'll help things along and further the cause by saying Daryle Hies the writer of the "Trading Places" article is an opinion writer, perhaps even a fine man since he loves central California the constitution (that word just won't capitalize sorry) Wine College Football and some Island we invaded and star spangled to death some time ago not to mention works for some sort of marketing.........Oh anyway about the stage at hand I think the terrain being not sand but this Atacama place perhaps a zig zag short cut navigational nightmare where can I go you can't go there what the hell is over the next hill kinda.......The chick with red/orange tote bag thing says its pretty cool here take a look
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F0dBnHz0S-Y&feature=related

Anyway if the terrain is anything like that sorted and spotted with washouts and huge formations and such perhaps time can be gained and lost by attrition but don't count on it. It's going to be a vibrating high speed I hope you know where the fuck your going sort of affair. Unless they put the cobblestone freeway in since the last time she was there. Geographically well........here take a closer look
http://mapsof.net/atacama-desert
Now this Daryle guy seems the type that likes to write and when you write you need something to write about and to do that you need an opinion then you have to do research and then your opinion changes then the story gets stale then you need to be a hater (everyone loves to hate something) Then you end up with a story about ..........Stage 8 check out those images on the second link is that cool or what now you see where this rally is right?

Great links

The weather looks good for Hummers......No R A I N. Highs 71, Lows 64, Clear.
Go RG and NA! Keep on track. Good luck!

We need some mini cooper voodoo dolls......bring on a yard sale.

It's a Mini - not a Cooper. BMW own's Mini and dropped a Mini carbon fiber body on last years X-5
losing over 200 lbs for their all wheel drive twin turbo diesel called a Mini. Hmmmmmmmm.

did you catch any of the photos or video of the Mini cooper countryman build? Check your facts before you critisize,
