I find the website from dakar.com that already put the entry list 2012 for cars: http://www.dakar.com/dakar/2012/docs/LISTE_ENGAGES_AUTOS.pdf

Yeah, not a lot of qualified drivers (and navigators) with $3M in walking around money wanting to play water boy for a couple of weeks in South America.

Think Robby will carry his own spare hub assy?

WOW monster is sponsoring eight cars this year in the DAKAR. S.A. America must be a really big growing market for energy drinks. I hope Robby gets the distribution he's looking for and the market share to come with it. Just a question if the brand of vehicle that the Hummer is rumored to be branded with is also a big growing market any talk of sales looking there beyond just brand badge of the Hummer?

I'm sure though if there are any thoughts or possibilites of running a second hummer, it's in route with #303. That is if they have left yet, but I can't remember at the moment what has been shipped so far.

Going to be exciting though either way :D

@Charlie, RGM racer/s(?) typically get shipped mid month.

How about Jean-louis Schlesser....Is he busy? He definitely can drive this type of "HummBuggy".

....or the guy who won the quads class last year..... he seemed to be connected with Robby by the end of the ralley last year....

Anyone else notice that TOG pictured two Hummers....303.................. & 327......just saying? Could it be that obvious?

327 was the number Eliseo drove in the 2011 event.
How about Jean-louis Schlesser....Is he busy? I'm thinking if he had the cash to buy a ride,he'd would just bring his own equipment.
Patronelli bro's are entered in the Quad class again.

from the 2011 Rally.

With no Red Bull VW's in the race this could be the year for RG.

I was just reflecting.......seems odd that Sainz and Miller didn't  show up in the Dakar somehow.  That will be two high caliber drivers that we don't have to compete with.  The Hummers are the cars with the most tried and consistent package.  I'm hoping that means we will have the least amount of trouble. With so many mini's in the show, maybe some will run a "rabbit balls out strategy" and others will run more a more conservative approach.  Any thoughts here?
