Every few years NASCAR goes thru down years where there's a drought in drivers available, this ain't one of those years! With so many teams being forced to close their doors or scale back to limited schedules, the talent pool of drivers to pick from increase. Consider it an Owner's market. This extends to crew members, shop & engine personnel also. This should help teams outside the Top 20 add better personnel at cheaper prices. Front Row Motorsports has already indicated they're expecting to upgrade their driver lineup. FRM could sign Vickers, Reutiman & Ragan and instantly upgrade over their lineup last year. That lineup would give them 3 drivers that have already won at the Cup level. That move would put drivers like Gilliland, Kvapil & Yeley back into the pool for Start & Park teams needing fill-in drivers on occasion.

IMO - RGM has the opportunity to hire better personnel and get a driver like Gilliland to fill in at S&P races. Of course this would be only if RGM repeats this years schedule & plan.

Good one Turtle , Growth..haha

Conway posted on Twitter he was at a meeting in California finializing his 2012 plan...Daytona

NAZICAR has become a boring affair, if not for the paint drying strung out field races but the over kill television production that ultimately covers the same handful of drivers week in and week out. Drivers and teams lost to the start and park not only are a sad attribute to the economy we live in these days and a byproduct of the real cost that goes into real racing in the end the sport suffers at the hands of........Holy Shit I'm sorry I meant to say "lack of" economy. I heard a rumor the best driver in the sport was forced to become one of the S&P bullshit. But hell listen to the tune "Fearless" by Pink Floyd equipped with the words in hand so you don't make any mistakes and you can see S&P , struggle challenges, short comings, they are and have been addressed by the best.

Got my Martinez fix for the week. I feel better.

this is an opportunity for robby. to either quit driving and get one of the free agents, or continue driving and get better people in that shop. i hope he does something. because to be honest, i dont like the start and park thing, and the cup series doesnt look to good for him in my opinion (start n parking and sponsors and stuff). and good luck to the whole team.

nobody like's the S&P deal, but free agents or better people in the shop aren't what dictates complete or short races. Money is what dictates that. And with Na$craps restrictions on advertising partners for teams,I really don't see things getting better soon. IMO

Kinda a boring day, nothing to argue about, oh well another beer and back to the couch............

What are Robby's plans for this year? Hopefully with a complete package and motor's and equipment and of course support teams (on the road and at his shop's and mabye even DODGE going big with Robby) ROBBY WILL BE IN THE TOP TEN ALOT AND WIN ALOT OF RACES -- we all have to admit that we are all sick of lack of Earnhart (no driver son of a great driver) and other pretty boy's--lets make all the car's equal and draw numbers on what car the guy's get in 24 hours before a race and see who is a better driver this way)) we all wish that were true -- it would be fun to see talent over money take the wheel.
