I'm sure there will be a few who will look only at the final results and bash RGM, but not since Daytona has RG had a car capable of winning a Cup race. The two car tandem of Robby Gordon & Trevor Bayne was one of the fastest of the day. It was such a great feeling to see Robby put that "Panther Pink" SPEED ENERGY Dodge up front. Robby looked like his old self at the start of the race, charging thru the field desparate to hook up with Bayne and establish themselves as a real threat. I watched on TV, listened to the scanner and listened to MRN Radio. Over and over you heard the words, "Robby Gordon in his SPEED ENERGY Dodge" and many times you saw Robby's Pather Pink Dodge glowing across the screen. Just like Daytona, Robby got a ton of exposure 9/10ths of the race...just didn't have the finish. Also goes to show those who always think it's a conspiracy, if you run up front, you get on TV, get talked about and get the exposure.

It was great to see RGM qualify for the race on speed, huge kudos. This should help the team get a great baseline for Daytona. You can tell RGM gave it a great effort. I heard a mature Miles, more confident and experienced. It was great to hear Patrick spotting again. Just shows what this team is capable of doing (even with a small team). Hopefully additional funding can be found, can only imagine what RGM could do now with some additional funds.

I'm sure this gave Robby a much needed momentum with his Cup program. After the Daytona race in July & Watkins Glen, it seemed the team was very down. This should light the fire back again.

GREAT JOB RGM!!!! Fans, buy SPEED, promote SPEED and help this team get funded. Looking forward to Phoenix, but can't wait til DAYTONA!!!

(PS- Penske motor was awesome sunday.)

It's OK.you spell'd it correctly to join the Planet. Welcome aboard.
Thanks Mike. Robby's a class act and a great driver. It was heart breaking yesterday!
OOPS...Didn't mean any disrespect to ROBBY!
dunno about anybody else but I'm kinda glad Robby chose to run this race over Texas

Let that be a lesson Rob, ALWAYS DRIVE FULL RP RACES
I went to bed last night after being on chat so disappointed because I felt Robby had a shot at winning. My heart sank when all the gear issues started being mentioned and the bumper broke. But heck, what a show he put on. I haven't enjoyed a NASCAR race for ages but I loved yesterdays race. Seeing Robby run up front was amazing!! Just like old times!
If he could get some sponsor help these days would be more frequent im sure. Way to go RGMS.
No doubt.......ya just never know what's gonna happen there......he runs well at the RP tracks too.
It's not lessons Robby needs , its full race funding.
No, he certainly needs no lessons......but maybe should allocate what funding he has to road races and RP tracks.......he always shows well there. These places aren't so dependant on set up. JMO. I'd rather just see him run them all!
Good to see the "drive it like you stole it" Robby is still alive. He passed like 30 cars on the first lap by himself to get up to Bayne. Probably best part of the race for me
the opening laps where impressive for a single car! When 'paired' with Trevor they where bad fast. IMO the fastest pairing.Young Mr. Bayne is the real deal when it comes to RP 'pairing'.
Called Robby out on his "Pretty Red Wheels" and told RG he would push him in the Baja 1000 too! Very mature young driver. I guess he is the real deal after all. All hail the Trebby
Hoefully TOG will have time to put the radio chatter together for those that missed it Sunday.
