TV said the Penske Dodge's were running hot in 1st practice.

nope...but then again, RG is single car running , handful of laps & the #2 & #22 are running more laps...I'm sure Penske will get their cooling issues sorted out.

+1. Last week really reminded everyone just how dangerous this sport is. As much as I like to hate on the COT, it is an extremely safe race car.

race cars don't get much safer than the COT, I hate the car but it gets an A+ in terms of safety.
