Just saw on JAYSKI that Reed is uot of his ride at turner motorsports, even though he is third in the standings. It appears to be related to his sponsor - Dollar General - leaving for JGR.

It's a shame that Reed didn't have the relationship with Dollar General that some of these other yahoos have with their sponsors.

Max?
Gordon?
That's why you see drivers like Erik Darnell & Kevin Conway pop up from time to time. They have sponsorship.
I felt bad for Reed ever since he lost his cup ride, he deserves better because he is a good driver

it's a shame that some dopes who aren't worth a damn like Steve Wallace, Jason Leffler, and Brian Scott are still in the NNS
Steven Wallace has daddy's money, Brain Scott brings finances and Jason Leffler is another victim of Turner this year and will be losing his ride too.
Read between the lines. This was not a business decision, this was personal between Steve Turner and Reed. Who knows why, but Turner financially has more to lose by not keeping Reed until the end of the season. If Reed can finish out the season he will be awarded drivers points money which the team gets a large percentage of. Depending on what Reed's contract was like this could be a substantial amount of money that Turner could lose out on.

Also look at past history and you will see Steve Turner around this time of year has released other drivers. Last year right after Dover Turner announced they let Brain Scott go who was was driving the #11 NW car for Turner and was leading the NW Rookie of the Year points. Word was when Turner found out that Brian was looking to not return for 2011 and some of the sponsorship would be leaving at the end of the season, he let Brian go. This killed his hopes at the Rookie of the Year title. Brain did find a last minute ride at RAB, which got some help from Gibbs to help Brain try to win the ROTY.
Your knowledge on this topic is somewhat scary
Nikal's old off road teammates Brian Ickler and Juston Lofton are running in the Truck series,Steve Turner also has truck teams.
Is Steve Turner part of the Turner family - TNT, CNN, the people that also run the NASCAR website?
according to the interweb, he's from Texas.made his money in the oil business.
Not cool at all.
any possibality of maybe putting reed in a speed energy NW car for a few races to end the NW series? I know robby is not big into the nationwide and doesnt want to be to involved, but with reed driving the speed car he could get alot or more tv time for speed and it also might help for more informations to use on the Sprint cup car. Just a thought.
