Robby's average fall/late summer start at Atlanta in 8 races is 26.125

Robby did get a pole for his first Atlanta race in 1997. Would like to see that race again, Robby led for 42 laps and was driving the Felix Sabates #40 Coors Light

True RG did have a pole for Atlanta when the track was in its old config . I dont see RG qualifying for this event. It is a shame as what has become of RGM in the past year when RG stated that "I would rather close up than start and park" amazing how much has changed with RGM in one year, unfortunately this is the current reality of the economics of a single car team in todays turbulent times. I hope he does get in this weekend , and is able to get some S & P money out of Nascar's coffers. I would like to see him try to S & P the 77 as well every weekend that there was a companion truck or Nationwide race and if there were some drivers that would like to see if they could get the 77 into the show. I say why not if the 77 would be riding in the back of the hauler? I know that is a blanket statemant and there is alot of expense just to attempt to Q a second car , but might as well it works for Front Row. Just really sucks what has become of the career of RG currently , always will be a fan , but what a waste of talent and ability , when there are other drivers out there that could not even qualify to hold RG's helmet. Damn I miss the RCR days. RG doing what he has to to survive , just like much of todays society
