I wouldn't worry just yet - Montreal & Quebec are not your typical city & province.

But just in case this is the last hurrah for montreal, RG better get his redemption soon.
This is one of the greatest cities and venues - Nationwide races here have been epic to say the least. Go to Montreal, watch the Grand Am races, Canadian Tire Nascar Series and then Nationwide...along with the culture and history here, it sure kicks The Glen for a great overall weekend!
It looks like the local government isn't into subsidies to the France family.Good for them.
The same reason why Indy told F1 to go take a flying (rhymes with truck)............

I'm sorry.....But the f1 crowds reminded me of a HUGE Dueche Bag Convention..........

I personally witnessed Bernie Eckelestone leave a $10 tip on a $6500 dinner tab.....there were about 20 people in his group and the two ladies "serving" them did a tremdous job....even considering the fact that the dinner party was rude and nothing was going to please them......The group I was with and another table ended up taking up a collection for these ladies as they deserved it...nothing near what they should have earned but about half....Eckelstone is worth how much and he leaves a $10 tip......I was never happier when it was announced they were not returning to INDY..I hope that sum bitch never steps foot in this City again!
Nice Fast Ball WJM....

Pretty obvious that this has turned in to a operate a for profit company first and race team (NASCAR) second.......Not cheap starting a new business, where should the money go this year? Speed Energy or improving race finishes from 38 to 28?

Even looking down the road three years.....if nothing changes with NASCAR in terms of racing (and the fact it sucks)...let's say Speed is in a position to fully fund a race team for a year (20 million for a full year sponsorship....and I'm just guessing here).......I doubt we see Robby do that....as a single car team chances are he is not going to compete for a championship....I bet his Road Course stuff gets an upgrade and I bet Dakar Program gets an upgrade...I'm just not sure we see Robby running 36 NASCAR races in a year again.....I think this is what people need to adjust too...we all know where Robby runs fast and knowing that why are people worried about Kentucky Speedway or Pocono or Martinsville or Vegas or California or any of the others?.....It doesn't matter if Robby runs 5 laps in practice or 205 laps...The extra 200 or 40 or 20 laps in practice isn't going to put his car in the top 10...at this piont I don't think moving the track bar up or down or adjusting air pressures is going to start a string of top 20 runs....I'm not saying the guys aren't wroking hard and not trying hard.....I think they are busting their asses....as it stands right now the cars are what they are and in my opinion people need to manage their expectations better and as you said WJM understand that there is probably not much money at all being thrown in to car development type shit and understand that spending 2.5 million dollars to run three tenths quicker aint happening right now.........
i say just let Robby's plan for his race team run it's course he has a vision for the future and is doing it the best that he can his plans are usaully really good and it is in the infant stages let it grow, they are not going to be fast this year no matter how many laps they run this is a building year to find a good baseline for the team to build on i know it's frustrating and it is for robby as well but they are necessary growing pains, as long as the team is alive and kicking it's a good thing. so just cheer for our guy i know the racing action sucks and it's the same guys every week but just think when it will be robby every week enjoy
On another note.. Does anyone agree with me that the web site Nascar.com really sucks..? Just not easy to find what you want! The site is very unorganized.. I like Jayski much better and of course the Planet!! The rain out just means one car.. OK, folks get over it!
I can't find anything on that dump. I use Jayski for everything too.
I rarely look on the bright side so I'll give it a try this week

it's just Kentucky, so who cares? it's not a big race.
#7 is racing on Saturday...What the fuck is all the fuss about ? A few days ago it was probably a s&p deal & now its probably a FULL race....Quit fuckin cryin..
agreed - and RG put up a reasonable time in the 77 before qualified was cancelled.
If by reasonable you mean not good enough to make the show then sure.
