Robby was not the slowest, Wimmer was (locked in).
Good thing the team took advantage of practice err test time yesterday.
Plenty on time for testing remember. We got all day today someone said.
@Ken, I said yesterday that there no rush to practice in the morning as there was 6hr's of track time available-Yesterday.
Is that what you were think'n?
I also said that RGM wasnt truly serious about running races this season hence the lack of practice time at virtually every race track. It is what it is, but you cant seriously expect to run well, even if you are planning on running the entire race with basically the least amount of time on the track of any car running the distance week in and week out.

It is what it is, but its painfully obvious that the race team is in survival mode while they try to build up the Speed Energy brand. Performance on the race track is way down the list of priorities.
Did they run qualifiers yet ?

#7 is locked in....
I somethings think RGM should just hire the 'planet' for shop, practice, qualifying, and race time decisions. I think they collectively know more then the folks who are on the ground fighting the battle.

I can see 24x7 chat. Miles post question on chat:
  • RG reports tight in and loose off in practice, what should we do?.
  • Only enough funds to run handful of practice laps, where should we get the money to run more laps?
I GUESS THE IN HOUSE MOTORS ARE NOT THAT STRONG.
off topic, but did anyone else see Robby in the new Watkins Glen commercial ? I saw for the 1st time today during practice. Wow !
im betting u are wrong. these motors are proven pieces that rob most likely purchased from penski that robs shop rebuild maintain between races. all R@D on cup motors are mostly cyd head and intake manifolds They have a chassis dyno they know where they stand on horsepower. it not engines...... u get it to handle in the corners it will handle down the straights
Not a bad Qual. Run for Robby- 175.6 mph.
