Indefinite probation for Richard Childress?

According to a member of a Truck team who asked not to be identified, Childress took off his jewelry before approaching Busch in the garage area and struck him with his fist. The two were separated, traded insults and then Childress grabbed Busch in a headlock and struck him again before the incident was broken up.

The crew member said Childress initiated the incident.

Good for the old man, but I really wonder if he'll get the same penalty Robby got.

A half dozen times during the summer months my boys and I go down the road for some classic short track on a Saturday night racing. On any night there's probably no fewer than three good skirmishes in the pits. This Childress .vs Busch thing is much ado about nothing, IMO. As I said earlier, it's part of racing and always has been.

Back in the day there was a unwritten agreement between the press and the garage. Think "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas" type of unwritten code. If this incident would have happened back then we wouldn't have known about it for weeks or maybe months and then only as something that was "rumored" to have happened. But now with the growth of NASCAR comes hundreds of hours of programming the need filled and pages upon pages on the Internet in need of text. Scribes are tripping over each other for the next scoop. The next story that can be over-analyzed, sensationalized, and beat to death until the next scoop comes along.

I never thought KB & RCR would get so much play on planet Robby. Unless Robby is punching someone out, I really dont care. Silkway Rally registration is closing in a week. I dont hear anyone clamouring for that. C'mon guys, Robby just came off an amazing 500 in the hummer, if the Hummer is that dependable, imagine watching Robby race for a whole week in July. Its like Christmas... I mean dakar in July.

It seems to me and only from afar as I have no idea what i'm talking about and speak only as an ignorant fan blind to most things and turning away from the rest.......I don't hear any talk of Speed energy going over the big lake to that part of the world and its seems for the time being Speed Energy and Robbys' racing go hand in hand where ever it goes.
