According to a member of a Truck team who asked not to be identified, Childress took off his jewelry before approaching Busch in the garage area and struck him with his fist. The two were separated, traded insults and then Childress grabbed Busch in a headlock and struck him again before the incident was broken up.

The crew member said Childress initiated the incident.

Good for the old man, but I really wonder if he'll get the same penalty Robby got.

Richard knows KBs off track personality, that's all that has mattered. RC stands up for his team better than anybody else
I'm not busting his balls. I respect his abilities on track. I've been directly involved in professional racing for over 20 years and I've seen driver's with the same cockiness take themselves that one step too far in believing in their own greatness and they eventually get knocked down a couple of pegs by the old guard. It's nothing new. Nothing unique. It's been happening since the dawn of motorsports. No big deal, really.

Example: Ernie Ervan. Swervin' Ervan. He went though a period thinking he was all that and a bag of chips until the old guard started knocking him in check. It got to the point where Ervan had pissed off so many drivers he felt compelled to publicly apologize for acting like a dick. Another example is Kurt Busch who found out his face was not impervious to repeated punches. It happens. It's part of racing.
I think Kurt needs to sit and talk with his little bro, Kurt, to me anyway, has learned the value of NOT being a dick. IMO
Does anybody on this site know KB on a personal level.......even maybe you. All I am saying is the respect thing goes both ways. When you are new and have talent you want your competitors to acknowledge it. In the case of NA$CAR the old guard wants you to "pay your dues" and kiss the ring. The guard will tell you when it is OK to eat lunch with them. Back in the day I see this as pert of the series. Today is a different story, when you have a guy like Kyle who has as much or more talent than most in the series the old guard deal doesn't work to well. This is where the problem lies trying to mesh both together. Richard for one is real old school and to have this KID put it to his team doesn't set well. On top of that you have Harvick who is nothing but a punk and trouble maker with talent and RC behind him this is whats going on now. Ya the guard over the years hated a lot of drivers JAWS, JEFF G. to name a few.

When the dust settles you kind of wonder if RC hasen't lost a little respect among other car owners. His peers are what's most important to him not what other drivers or fans think. I would like to be a fly on the wall to know that the other 3 owners think.

All this plays into NA$CARS game of putting butts in the seats.

PS........so if you don't ride a orange bike you are not part of the guard ? I get that all the time if you ride a blue bike you have to start in the back. :-)
as in owners you mean.....Hendricks, Rousch & Gibbs ?
Hendrick......not Hendricks

Rick Hendrick-convicted felon.Do you think Richard is really worried about his opinion?!
thank you, for the correction.
Nope never met him, GTX......I was talking about Kurt.Don't know him either...
RC doesn't like that Shrub keeps wrecking his stuff on purpose.....being a punk. I don't recall Carl Edwards, Denny Hamlin or Jimmie Johnson getting in a fight with RC and they've beat his team with regularity.
RC should be upset with his drivers Boyer caused the big wreck a few weeks ago by going 3 wide. Before that KB was trying to get past Hav-a-wreck and passed him and Hav-a-wreck didn't like it and going into the next turn taged KB seeing all of this Boyer decided to go 3 wide. Now don't forget the CLOWN MOVE harv-a-wreck did to KB at Holmstead last yr. (oh I forgot about that)

If RC is going to let Harvick stir the pot he has to man up and let the drivers handle it on the track or pits. RC has history with his driver driving over other cars just ask Labonte, Bodine, and Elliot to name a few.

Confuses say.......live by the sword die by the sword.
dude you're making Kyle out to be this innocent, harmless driver, I doubt anybody will buy into that. he's had a history of wrecking drivers in the truck and nationwide series, even Jimmy Spencer pointed that out on Race Hub. THERE'S VIDEO PROOF
