I bet PJ would drive this Weekend if he was not to busy........
Hoping PJ will the drive the second RGM car at Sonoma.
Robby - Fuel
P.J. - Octane
If it's not a full race for the substitute driver, the list of drivers drops to whomever usually S&Ps for other teams.
LOL My guess is Johnny Chapman. This way the expert parker can park in all 3 races.
I don't know any inside news about who is friends with Robby and who is not, so therefore i'll pass on guessing a driver. As wise as it is to show up as a team and get the points /purse it really has to weigh heavy on the hands that do all the work knowing of the parking, then again a driver that can help out with the car and give some feedback if the car is there to get worked on and put back on the track would help the team and building in house chassis it seems that taking it to the garage and working on it is a way to all pull on the rope in the same direction at the same time, It makes even more sense to get data and see what changes do to RGM cars than to wrestle a car around the track suffering. NAZICAR eliminated testing to save teams money but just like the critics said would happen, teams found other ways, post rigs and what not high dollar engineers and such and in the end high profile teams reign supreme. Start stop test collect a check keep folks putting food the table i'm all for it. I hunger for the days that the team is up there battling as much as anyone and I count the days till the Glen when admittedly the race is back in the drivers hands and we will all get our day to shine. Hoping as well Robby has some sort of plan to be in a Bucsh car.
Scott Wimmer in the car this weekend.
As long as the car ends up in 1 piece, the driver for this race doesn't matter. Has Wimmer driven for others this year? Maybe Nationwide?
yes.. he drives in nationwide. works with RCR. Usually the driver responable for practicing the cars when Burton or bowyer aren't there for practice.. Seems to be pretty good.
We have a Wimmer....
Wimmer is a good choice..
If we're pretending the 7 will run a full race, here's Wimmer's stats at Dover from racing-reference.info:
