Hopefully someone will post the interview here, but from Speedfreaks twitter update, looks like RG doubtful for this year's Indy & $5 million bonus race. 2012 looks more doable. Hopefully thus means more NASCAR races. They were also giving away #Fast Five shirts.

@RobbyGordon is on with us now-saying he still doesn't know about #Indy500 or $5mil bonus race this year. But hinting 2012 makes more sense. (Speedfreaks Tweet)
"I got Sam" Huh? What?
"I got Sam too" was a comment from Roger Penske when Robby asked Roger about running one his cars. From listening it sounds like it will depend on Penske's Championship status and other situations. Roger has Sam on payroll, so I'm sure if Penske used a car it would make more sense to let Sam drive than Robby. Plenty of time to see how things shake out.
Well I guess Robby "has Sam". ha WTF is going on here.
Yeah he has Sam. But Sam has stated he isn't really high on Indy Cars. So maybe he won't want to do it. I'd rather have a guy who will give the car a ride rather than one who isn't really keen on the idea. Make sense?
Dragon Racing, recently re-established and running PT in a few races, needs a driver for Indy. (Because PT signed with Dryer Rienbold for the 500) That team is run by Rogers son. Time will tell, at the end of February we were assured RGM would not be going to Talladega... (aka anything is possible)
I might be wrong, but looks like when RG stated only about 10-15 races he was looking at the plan that day. But when things change like selling lots of SPEED and Fast Five deal coming onboard, that allows more races to be added. Like RG has mentioned many times, with Indy changes next year, it makes more sense to wait for 2012...which would seem to indicate those dollars would shift to more Nascar races or off road races.

Side note - I saw a special on BIZ about how competitive shelf space is for companies in stores. Many big dollar companies have gone under or sold due to their competitors having better shelf space. Based on this report, swapping shelf space for sponsorship could equal huge payoffs for SPEED ENERGY. If RG can turn those swaps into huge returns, the future could be very good for RGM.
here is the link to the segment. Godd interview. Love the SPEED Freaks show.
