Join in here and discuss all the weekend action for the 2011 Bristol #1 cup race. Robby Gordon will drive the #7 FOOD CITY/SPEED Energy Dodge. Robby had a 22nd place finish last year at Bristol. Here is the weekend schedule for RGM at the Tennessee track.

wow...The Yellow car is the Bristol backup. They must have done some promo with it & maybe it ran out of gas or something, I will find out. Thanks for the upload.

P.S. - I also believe your UFO sightings now....lol...

Doesn't look like there are any Food City logos on it, so that sort of blows my theory about it being used for some type of promo in conjunction with Food City being the presenting sponsor of the race.

Robby was doing practice laps in the black car as the yellow car was being towed....I'm not sure what the reason was. I will say this. Robby was as happy and content with the car as he's been in many years at Bristol. I love the back and forth between he and "Bones." Robby said the car was very drivable today.

ok..here is the deal:

The Bristol backup is the Fontana primary. So, as soon as RG was in the clear for not needing a backup, they sent the car back to the shop to get a head start on taking out the Bristol setup & replacing with the Fontana setup. The reason they towed it was so they didnt have to fire the engine & a hauler was waiting outside the track to take it back to the shop.

All is good & I hope this clears it up.
