Kevin Conway's Response
Kevin Conway released a statement Monday evening: "I don't mind stiff competition, but I want to make sure the hard facts are told.
Really, is this an appropriate time to be making sponsor plugs, I thought this was a serious situation that Kevin went to the police about?
First and foremost, I love being a part of NASCAR and have worked very hard to earn the privilege of competing in the Sprint Cup Series.
Worked, earned....debatable at best.
On Friday night, Robby Gordon, who has a long history of issues in NASCAR decided to ambush me in the garage area at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, completely unprovoked.
RG's past is just that, past issues. How exactly do you get ambushed in a Cup garage, its almost too fan friendly at time and most sources initially said nobody saw the situation.
Robby even confronted Joe Nemechek, my car owner, on pit road during Cup Series qualifying shoving him and telling him that he was looking for me and going to assault me.
So wait, he assaulted Joe , threatened to harm you and you still decided to go around him. Seems like if that was the case you would either avoid that person, or confront them. So why go over to the Cup garage unless it was for the confrontation?
We have many witnesses including a crew chief that signed a police report documenting the truth of his physical attack on me.
So wait, now other people saw this and its automatically the "truth" just because its signed on a police report. If its legally documented, why not name this person directly?
Situations like this are not good for our sport. It's one thing if we were racing each other and I wrecked him or he wrecked me, that's an entirely different situation. I
Sure, both RG and Joe need his stuff torn up and Nascar just thrives on intentional wrecking, clearly this would have been a better route.
It's very unfortunate that he chose to physically attack me to address his rage. Our fans, sponsors and NASCAR expect and deserve more from our competitors than this bullish, illegal behavior that was displayed by Robby against me."
Bullish and Illegal are both his opinion, but in his defense, Extenze has a pretty "firm grasp" on "hard facts" when it comes to things being illegal. The did have that 6 million dollar out of court settlement. Plus already have pending issues with RGM and Front Row.

STATEMENT FROM ROBBY GORDON MOTORSPORTS ON INCIDENT WITH CONWAY
"Kevin Conway and Robby Gordon had a heated exchange in the garage area this past weekend arising from Conway’s and his sponsor ExtenZe's failure to pay RGM several hundred thousand dollars that they owe for promotional and driving benefits they received from participating in a series of NASCAR Sprint Cup races with cars prepared and supported by RGM. Unfortunately, this is not the first time that Conway and his sponsor have failed to honor their financial obligations to NASCAR teams. Conway and ExtenZe are also in litigation with Front Row Motorsports over unpaid NASCAR sponsorship obligations.
"The brief exchange that occurred between Conway and Robby Gordon is the kind of thing that is normally handled between the involved parties. It is unfortunate that Conway has chosen to use this insignificant event as a means of attracting publicity to himself, and it is particularly unfortunate that he has done so by making a series of false reports to others. Contrary to Conway’s account, no punches were thrown.
"The simple truth is that Conway voluntarily and aggressively engaged in the exchange with Robby Gordon, and neither man was injured; Conway and ExtenZe have unsatisfied obligations to pay RGM several hundred thousand dollars; ExtenZe actively pursued and accepted the NASCAR promotional benefits for which it has not paid; Conway actively pursued and accepted the benefits of driving a race car in the Sprint Cup Series for which RGM has not been paid; and both Conway and ExtenZe knew that RGM expected to be paid in full for its work and costs in preparing and supporting that race car.
"Conway would better serve the interests of our sport and the fans by making sure that he meets his personal financial obligations to our teams before engaging in publicity seeking behavior of this type.
"This is a matter that will now play out in the courts. RGM does not intend to comment further at this time.

anyway, the 2 contracts are separate
RG is using leverage with one over the other, but the courts are going to rule on them each separately.
I would do the same, but the end of the day if RG had an obligation to pay Conway $29K, being owed $$$ by Extenze is a separate issue.

The whole Robby on probation thing until the end of the year is pretty amuzing...have at it boys!!!
Really doesn't matter nothing happend to Conway...talk about the poster boy of irrelevant........He was a NASCAR ROY by default in which the following year he is now a start and park in the Nationwide series.....I doubt the Kevin Conway Fan club, which consists of no more than FIVE people would even understand what NASCAR is let alone NASCAR probation, and yes the fan club of five does include his Girlfriend and her Mom and his Girlfriend is obsessed with Tweeting and bragging about the fact her Boyfriend got bitch slapped and called the police in an Auto Racing Garage scuffle (tells you ALL about the knowledge of said Girlfriend when it comes to racing)....not to mention the fact his sponsor is some quack company that claims to have a product to make your Johnson get bigger...fuck they can't even honor a simple pay to race contract so how in the hell is anyone supposed to believe they are smart enough to alter something God made......
A person couldn't even make this shit up............funny as hell......

if RG did throw punches, not very smart....... one would think the courts would settle all these lawsuits eventually and then you take it from there..... RG on probation tells me Nascar knows more than what everyone thinks...... unless they really do want him out of their sport...

Since Robby fans usually buy sponsor products, did anyone buy extenze and did they work? I admit I bought the companys sleepaid Alteril and it did not work at all!

I was at friday qualifing at California Speedway this past fall. Kevin was 8mph off of the the pace and let off at least 50yds into turn one before all of the other drivers. Everyone in my area laughed because you can hear when they lift. I yelled, "put Robby in the car!" Everyone cheered and yelled yah. I am glad that this incident highlights the outright theifery of Kevin Conway and Extenze to two honest, fighting to survive Nacar teams (Front Row & RGM).
