WELL 500 MILES IS DIFFERENT FROM 120 SO I WILL NOT PASS JUDGMENT UNTIL AFTER THE RACE.

This racing sucks for sure, but someone needs to tell Robby, when you show up with a car that says 'SPEED" all over it, the car better have some, or you look extra stupid.

I spoke with Robby this morning. And we right off the bat discussed what a fucked up deal this was. He sugested to NASCAR to go up to NC and get the wings instead of spoiler. They would bolt right on and that would have fixed the problem. NASCAR's response was there was no problem. RG said his car is FUBAR'd front and back.

RG also discussed the fact that many of the teams showed up wit 8" thick, super width radiators that hold over 5 gallons of fluid.


In my personal opinion: The only thing he can do Sunday is distrupt two car drafts. Robby races the last 20-30 laps on plate tracks. He cannot do that anymore. Problem is you must have two cars to race now. For the first time you will see many cars more then a lap down at Daytona.

This is total garbage!

Seriously, Nascar likes this product. Mainly because everyone is talking about it. The other huge factor is Nascar knows everyone will push Dale Junior. Nascar won't change anything if there's a chance it will favor Dale Junior. Nascar wins big when Junior does well.

Fly,
An friend threw a friend of mine back in NC said RCR knew this was the way the Daytona race was going to be after how the last Talladega race was with the 2 car draft. Over the off season RCR spent over $300K developing a cooling system that would allow them to push the 20+ laps like they were in the Shootout.

As soon as NASCAR changed the rules and made a smaller ducts opening and controlled the radiator release pressure, RCR sent several crew guys back to NC to figure out the new cooling system and they even scheduled wind tunnel time to see what and how the new grill opening and how the water temp will effect their cars.

This changed cost the big teams a ton of cash and it separated the RCR's from the RGM's even more. I'm sure some of the updates will trickle down from Penske in the engine dept, but like you said some teams showed up with huge radiators and I can assume RGM was running what Penske was running?

I don't know what The Captain was running but RG just started going into these massive radiators right off the bat totally freaked out. Took me a minute to catch up with what he was saying. He said they looked like two of his.

If he can just sniff off these two car packs, stay clean and get a top twenty he will be doing his job.
