STAGE 1 TRACKING

STAGE 1: Buenos Aires > Cordoba

Connection 566km | Special Stage 222km | Total 788km

COURSE OVERVIEW

Most of the journey will have been made the day before, but the road section to the starting line of the first special stage is still long.Once the competitors have got down to the nitty-gritty, their engines  will start to heat up along a very quick portion. They will need to be  more and more technically proficient on a route that then becomes  mountainous. In order to limit the amount of overtaking on narrow tracks, a special route has been drawn up for bikes and quads in the middle of the stage.

Scrutineering & parade precede the start of stage 1

Wow This is awesome. can't believe it's here. Pull those belts tight here we go............

How fast is everyone going on the course prior to any Stage starting line?   By this I mean are they chilling and playing follow the leader or having to find their way there as quickly as possible?   What about after the Stage is completed?   Just chill back to the Bivouac?
Local speed limits and traffic laws apply (the HUMMER's are equip'd with speed limiter's just for this)
Memory tells me you are correct.  They are penalized with additional time for exceeding posted limits.  It's basically the same as WRC.
scrutineering is on Dec 31st....

Today the Police and the Organization anticipate´s more people than Dakar 2010, more than 3.000.000 millons people, so the trafict to Victoria will be slow until Zarate Brazo Largo Bridge.

will we have the normal chat room up everyday like the nascar races?
My memory sucks.  I cant remember where to find starting position for Robby.  anyone know?
