Truck vs Cup engines: Apples and oranges. Ask Kyle if he'd trade a JGR engine for a TRIAD. Don't think so.

What top-30 teams use TRIAD in CUP?
No question JGR engines are great. But you always look to shit on TRIAD & I was just pointing out that your fav driver uses them for his own team.

I suspect even you would puke if the entire grandstand all had on #18 shirts, so I for one am glad there still many options for teams to use.
Gee Keith, Should Robby be using Arrington's? Didn't I see a TRD break the other week? And as I remember, the earlier falures where due to overheating (water leak, debris) Every heard of a parts failure?!
I know of two teams that are working to get out of a contract with Arrington Engines as they have had several engine failures this year which have cost them big time in the points. Those two teams will most likely be going back to Triad for 2011 if not sooner.
He should have stuck with TRD. Maybe he can't afford them now.
Anyone ever think that maybe due to budgets maybe RGM did not have a fresh engine in the car for this weekend? Does anyone know if this was a new engine from Triad just for this race? RGM could have used the engine from one of the S&P races these last few weeks. Many S&P guys and some of the lower teams have been doing this to stretch the dollar. Triad makes great engines and have had to make them more reliable as the Truck series and the NW series have been using a two race engine seal rule. In other words you must use the same engine at least twice before you can rebuild it. This was done to cut costs and also make the engine builders make more reliable engines.
Nikal, it was a brand new engine for Kansas, as well as next week at Fontana & every remaining race this year.As for yesterday, just a rare blown engine. Thats racing !
The hauler is going straight from Kansas to Fontana, where the Kansas car is supposed to be the backup. I hope they have a spare engine in the hauler as well?
They put the new engine in last night, so the backup is good to go.
Nikal, you don't have gear rules and tapered spacers in CUP which makes life a lot easier on the engine builder in the lower series.
Actually CUP does have a rear gear rule, but they don't have the intake spacer like NW has.
Triad Racing Technologies is considered to be at the top of the industry for engine development and production. Triad was instrumental in Toyota winning the 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 Manufacturers Championships in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. -Per their site they realy dont mention anything about the cup series.
