Maybe this was mentioned elsewhere, but did anybody see the article on Nascar.com about FRM going for broke with the 38? I believe the 37 and 34 purposely slowed to let the 38 finish higher today. The hell of it is that this will help Rob catch the 34 and 37. Keep it up RGM.
Yup, they sure did & that was good strategy on their part. Since all 3 of their teams are run out of pocket, they can do that without pissing off sponsors.
They let the 38 pass them before the race was over to get 6 more points
if nascar had any balls they would do something about that, it ruins whatever integrity is left in the sport.
The 71 team better pick it up... RGM will pass him, FRM is after that spot
I remember a few years back in F1, Barriochello gave up a win for teammate Schumaker to pad his points lead. That sucked!
I think the #71 will do what they can to remain in the top 35. They can s&p about 4 more races, but they will have to run full races in at least five of the remaining nine.
have you all missed the giant gnashing of F1 teeth this year over ferrari team orders? while i don't like them at all, team orders are - and i suspect always will be - a part of racing.
I noticed that too. Good strategy on their part.
Here's the link to the article on FRM in case anybody wants to bone up on the competition:

While it would be a moral victory for all of the Planet members to see the #7 car in 30th points position at the end of the year, The prize is being in the top 35. If Robby has 2 more performances like this in his last 2 scheduled full runs, then mission accomplished.
32nd is possible. 30th or 31st isn't unless those teams stop racing.
