Just a question. I know you can change drivers after qualifying, so what would keep RG from qualifying the 07 to get it in the field and then swap with Conway for the race? Chances are they would be starting toward the rear anyway. I would think there would be a rule to prevent it, but if not, I'd give it a shot.
this was touched on before - something about rookies not being allowed to act as a substitute driver.
@ Dave-O, Do you have knowledge of the contract between RGM and Kevin Conway/ExtenZe. I don't.And I haven't read where Kevin is guaranteed a race start. Just say'n
My response was to this post.
Extenze money guarentees Kevin gets the 7 for the rest of the season. If the 7 falls out, Robby can get it back in.
yes yes, pile on. It was just a guess.
It already slipped out earlier this year. They were just able to get it back in...
hope that extenze is paying for seat time plus the privilege of having a guaranteed starting spot? It is one thing to buy seat time and another to be handed a top 35 car.
I think it's safe to say all parties involved are happy with the deal. Lets go racing !
Its all going to come down to Talledaga. With all the contenders for that last spot finishing near the back each week, Dega is the only race that will provide a big spread (one way or the other). RG's hang back strategy is going to take on even more importance than being able to race for the win - probably the future of RGM. Good luck to us all.
I think the 7 car will pass the 71 team very soon, and the 37 and 34 are very catchable also... Look for us to pass, not be passed! I say RGM ends up 34th or even 32nd I'm points!
I hope your're right, but whatever happens, happens at Dega.
I've been silent because I don't have too many positive things to say except that I am glad Robby will be at New Hampshire.

Everything is incredibly vague and I am very confused. From the banner of the site, I assume Robby is driving the #7 for the full race this Sunday. Yes? No? Is KC driving this week? Is ExtenZe going to sponsor the 7 or 07 for a full race this season? If so, do we know which ones and will Robby be the driver of an ExtenZe sponsored car this year or is that KC's sponsor only? I've seen that Robby is driving the last 10 races of the season and I think they are full races he will run, but no mention of a car or sponsor outside of Speedfactory and Menards. Anything on the horizon?

Thank you Kevin for taking on the duties and responsibilites of qualifying and running partial races for RGM to secure some points, keep the 7 car at each track and for bringing along your sponsor for additional exposure.
