step back means not run each week.
Maybe he should take this week off.

He started the episode saying he puts two weeks of work into one. Something has to give over the long term. It is hard enough being the owner / driver but he adds other series and he build all his own stuff.

Please don't driver for someone else.
Man, RG sure destroyed all the good that came out of Sears Point and Daytona with 15 seconds of video. You dump on your team like that, they're all going to quit on you. There's only so much any person can take, and being ripped to shreds in front of the world is too much for anyone to expect. It was a pretty stupid thing to let out.

Especially considering it was only three weeks ago they were seriously talking about winning at the Glen and RG was singing the praises of his teams.
He didn't destroy his road cars, and the watkins glen program will be good to go, as will Montreal. Just dont be surprised to see a few s & p efforts in some future cup races though.
The S&P races will not come as a surprise - reality of the racing world these days. I wouldn't be too heart-broken if RGM skips Martinsville.

But the output of his entire team won't be helped by his comments. Anyone who manages people has to appreciate that dumping on the team, even if he's tossing himself under the bus as well, is not a good way to improve performance or get results. RG may have reduced his people to the quality of the car he was racing on Saturday..... "Big boys" that they may be, they're still human.
There is an E in TEAM
He always starts and parks at Martinsville.....Seems that way.
He said his team. That includes him. He didn't dump on them anymore than he did himself. He knows the whole team needs to get better, and so do they. What he said would make me want to keep working and make it happen, not quit. I could go on and on.
And it's going to take us to stand by him as fans.
Love the episode, love the platform. I'm sure the investors will be wanting a return soon, however.

I think it was telling that BL didn't go with RGM for Indy. Having seen Bobby's reaction after collecting the car during the practice he wasn't all that pleased with the equipment. After Sears Point, there seemed to be something cooking with RGM and Bobby. I suspect that door has closed.

What is most frustrating is that each week their cars seem to get better, but the race results don't show it. Chicago they were what, 8th fastest in HH, but were down 3 laps half way thru the show. the 400 was a case of sticking with it and getting the best you can, but I know RG wasn't happy with the car. Probably the biggest frustration is knowing what the team is capable of, eg Sears Point, and not getting the equipment right to leverage that capability.

Indy and Montreal are huge for RGM...a good races would certainly help the team.
no sponsorship for the 2nd car was the primary factor in that.It was always 50/50 even before BL strapped into a RGM car.
S&P a few races, concentrate on the ones you dont S&P. Simple as that.

Kick it at the ones you put all your effort into and build from there. Should be fine with the top 35 anyway.
