I don't know if there is a magic bullet with the talent and money in today's nascar teams but to me it feels like this whole team is turning a huge corner. During one of the toughest financial moment's in Nascar, robby finds ways to survive and may come out smelling like a rose a year from now. Seems like we're making huge strides from a competitive standpoint and just looks like they've got a good chemistry. Just watching the speedfactory shows, they just have great chemistry. They have a bunch of guys that have a will to survive and succeed. Part of why I love Robby is he's willing to step out and make an attempt to do the impossible. Can't be great unless there's a possibility of failing great as well.
This was one of the best practice sessions of the year for RGM. Night and day difference over Michigan. RG spent more time on the track , rather than in the garage making big adjustments.
show & tell time is tomorrow night during the race.
picked up almost 3 tenths..last so far...but a nic epickup nonetheless with the hot track...
RG was 5th to qual but Speed chose not to show his lap. Typical!!!!!
SPEED was patting themselves on the back during Nationwide qualifying that they showcase teams for sponsors, Yet when the 7 goes out, it's during a commercial
However, they showed plenty of coverage of him during practice. RG was in the 'go to commercial' slot for qualifying. Just the way it is.
If I were producing the qualifying coverage, I'd look at the qualifying order and plan breaks around cars that typically qualify poorly if possible. RG fits the bill. Apparently Scott Speed does as well.
thats correct
I know, I was just commenting on how they bragged about helping teams sponsores, Seems odd Paul Menard was during commercial. Maybe Menards doesn't buy enough airtime on FOX
Speed has been VERY GOOD to RG this year in covering him. We didnt miss much. Early draw lap,not much to see.
Perhaps Robby could stall the car leaving pits, go on the 5 minute clock, then go when they come back from commercial. Heck I'd do that to get my sponsor on TV if I knew there was a commercial slotted at my time to qualify! LOL! I knew it was going to happen, no way they would cut to commercial when the first four cars out were fast cars.
