practice times don't mean anything, this won't indicate how Robby will qualify since it'll be a single car run.
While 'winning' a practice session at a plate track doesn't automatically translate into success for the rest of the weekend, I'd rather have a car that's capable of running 1st on the chart than 45th...give the boys some credit. WELL DONE!
Lap times at plate tracks mean nothing.
The only lap that matters is the last one.
RG was very happy with the way his car drove.
Kyle is gonna beat the start and parks to the garage on Saturday
Kyle had a bad day, fo shizzle, but he will probably top 5 it.
I think practice speeds, even at a plate track do mean something. Some cars wont go fast if they are pushed or pulled or anything. If you are fastest in practice, your car will go. Typically, the fast cars in practice are the fast cars in the race. Qualifying, on the other hand, is only important for pit stall selection, and that's not much of a deal in Daytona. Good job, RGM.

Oh, and thanks for the return of the top 5.
Good to see the #7 at the top of the pylon, although it doesn't mean a ton for practice. If he ends up in the top-30 after qualifying, I'll consider that good compared to their normal RP qualifying times.

The race is what matters, and from the sounds of it, they better work on a GREAT handling car. Cars were all over the place during both practices, even when they didn't wreck. Maybe the Nationwide race will get the wrecking out of their systems...

Practice 2
Daytona
POS. DRIVER
1 Robby Gordon
2 Greg Biffle
3 Marcos Ambrose
4 Kasey Kahne
5 A.J. Allmendinger

That was the shake & bake lap that he's going to use to win Sat. night!!! I'm sure of it.
