I'm going to jump in here while this site is brand new.

RobbysUprising was a pretty good place until a huge pissing match broke out about "negative" posts. There were a lot of loyal Robby fans who didn't want to hear any criticism of Robby or his team.

Sorry, but that's bullshit.

Most of those accused of being negative on RuR were expressing their frustrations and stating it how they saw it. There is absolutley NOTHING wrong with pointing out faults with the driver (and his team) that one chooses to follow.

I'm hoping we don't get into the same kind of mess here. If you don't like a comment made by another member here, then just ignore it and move on. If it gets to the point where you don't like anything posted, then find somewhere else to go. DO NOT try to tell me, or anyone else, that we may be any less of a fan because we criticise Robby or his team - that's part of being a fan. Sure, our ranting and raving won't make RGM have any better results, but neither will blind devotion and fawning.

Let's all keep it real.

It was actually getting hard to even go to the Uprising with the crap there. The entire "why can't we all get along (i.e., why don't all agree with me 100% of the time!) and never offer up valid criticism or commentary, because you're a big poopy head negative person!" made me nauseous.

I hate to sound like a freak, but it IS possible that RG could actually win a Cup race someplace other than Sears Point or Watkins Glen. Outlandish, I know.
Dover ! He can win Dover IF he can get a decent qualifying lap there.I also think he can win at other tracks, but only after they get the Friday program better.
I think he actually has a better chance at Daytona, Loudon or Dover than he does at Sears Point right now.....wtf do I know....but he won't do it starting 35th or worse at Loudon or Dover!
Yeah, I mean looking at the overall plate races going back a few years I think it's time to win one. I though he had a shot a Dega' last year before he got hit by Kyle Busch. It always worries me that he is going to wait too long to come to the front, since he seems to like hanging around the back for most of the race and trying to avoid the big one. Hell I'm not in the car though, thats just what I see through my TV.
Problem is all the others have gotten much better on the road races. Before Robbys bad laps on road courses were better than most. ALot of teams have now closed the gap.Actually I think Robby is in denial that other teams are just as good as him on the road races. The bar has been raised and RG needs to raise it even higher now.
Path and I had that same discussion not very long ago!!! Alot of others have stepped up there road course game!!! Just the facts!!!
definitely you see it more and more every year
The talent is there and the crew is good!! We just need the driver to drive and leave the rest to those that have a job to do!!!! Of course it would'nt hurt to have the driver get his head back into the game!! IMHO
What we really need is for RG to let the crew chief be the crew chief and for him to focus on only being the driver. I think then we would have a better chance of winning.
a BIG 10-4 on that one!!
A lot of truth. RG can drive a car as well as anyone, but he can't manage a NASCAR Cup race worth a damn. He thinks because he can manage Baja himself, that he can manage Daytona. It doesn't work that way unfortunatley.
Yeah, I've often said RG makes more in-car calls than any driver (Rusty Wallace excluded). I don't care who the CC is, how do you tell your boss "no let's do this"? Thats why I think Walter(if given time) will be a good match for RG. He's older,& RG respects his experience.
That shiz won't last long though, RG's got almost as much patients as I do.
