Gotta say RGM is trying, even if the results haven't been great...RGM has introduced several new cars this year, hoepfully they get them dialed in and the 2nd half of the season is a turn around. Plate tracks have been good, been those dang 1.5 Cookie Cutters have been cruel to RGM. DANG COT!
COT had disaster written all over it. So much for leveling the playing field for everyone. What a crock. If anything, the gulf between the haves and the have-nots got wider with that stupid thing.

They managed to make Bristol boring. I wouldn't have believed it.
cot idea would have worked if and i repeate IF EVERY TEAM HAD THE CHANCE TO TEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!unlike the big teams who had previous knolage of test ban
Brian Vickers out 3 months...maybe even more!

From that article:

Red Bull Racing Team announced today that the No. 83 Red Bull Toyota has requested a driver change and has been cleared by NASCAR to participate in the Sprint All-Star Race Saturday, May 22. Casey Mears will again pilot the No. 83, due to primary driver Brian Vickers' diagnosis of blood clots and on- going testing and treatment.

NASCAR bends the rules again? I thought this race was about All-Star DRIVERS? Good for Casey, and I'm truly sorry for Vickers, but I don't see how they can allow a substitute driver for this race.
I feel for the RBR team, but I have to agree Alan. They should just say the team will race the Showdown and The All Star Race will take an additional spot by racing into it from the Showdown.
A lot of people shaking their heads at this one.
Sébastien Loeb!!
IF your referring to Vickers' career as being over I would say maybe maybe not,if a year out.(which would be career damaging.. yet not statistically.)I say this cuz' Last year my sister went to the er having back pains and turned out that she had blood clots..one dangerously close to her lungs. As a result of her condition and the medication that was designed to thin her blood and break up the clots she was restricted to her physical activities and would and did bruise easily and badly from the slightest bump ...like insane bruising. She was on the meds for a little over a year and now is perfectly healthy today.
Not fair to let Mears race; it is about the driver not the car. Others are more deserving than a part-timer.
At least Mears is a former cup series winner, & the #83 crew still gets to be part of the main event.
agree the 83 crew earned their spot.
