“We’re going to do everything we can [to race],” Gordon said Friday
at Dover International Speedway. “If I was to miss races, they would be
the weakest races [to get sponsorship] NASCAR has. Our goal is to race,
and that’s what I desire to do. We’re going to continue to do that until
it becomes financially not possible to do that.”

Gordon wouldn’t pinpoint a specific race where he might have to stay home. He said he would not start-and-park.

“We’re still trying to sell races,” Gordon said. “We’re going to run until we can’t run. That’s the best answer I can give.”

Gordon does have commitments for some off-road events. During the race at Pocono in June, Gordon will miss track activity Friday and Saturday so he can run the Baja 500. Michael Waltrip will
practice and qualify the car for him, Gordon said.

its just robby's way of reaching out to the gay and transgender nascar fan market by having nascar's gay driver practice for him. Genius.
I did notice that In pre-game intros at Darlington, MW was on the stage and he and Rob shook hands and were all smiles as Rob passed through the line.

I thought it was a little weird since I thought the two despised each other - apparently not.
It appears, Robby is thinking ahead, and see's the possible sponsor of the Dream Machine, or another Napa car or something like that on the 7. Can't wait to hear TOG's take on this. I would like to think if POS was gonna drive the car at all, it's Robby's last option for that particular weekend. If this is true, then maybe this was the big news for the weekend we were supposed to stand by for this weekend.
people find a way to get over stuff that happened in the past.
point taken but.... c'mon tog do you have any more info about it??????
Except most of the people around here apparently.

Of course some of the people around here think that RG has some huge grudge with everyone that he has ever had an on-track run on with. Its fucking comical.
My first reaction was "Huh?" then "Wow" and then laughter...Like TOG says...
Both business and racing can make for strange bedfellows.
MT- Yup. It sure can ( See Mike Andretti/RG , 2003 Indy )

Honestly, who cares who practices the car at Pocono. I'll be watching RG tear it up at Baja via live tracking while Pocono practice on SPEED will be my background noise.
I can't wait for this...lol I know for a fact that if Robby is slow during the race all the blame will be towards Mikey.
I'm with you, align with MWR and get better equiptment and be part of a large team. No disrespect to the RGM guys, they are incredible with what they have, let's give them a full barrell!!
