The #26 and #66 in mock start and park trim.
thats funny, that its so accepted now
Looks like rain could be moving in around 6AM in Birmingham, if RGM is in qualifying trim they would have time to convert to race setup before qualifying is scheduled to start. They won't impound cars until qualifying is officially cancelled, I would think RGM could take a wait & see approach and have time to convert the setup before they're impounded.

Can anyone clarify this?
Qualifying will be canceled and all cars impounded after three hours of Fox talking heads, replays of past "Big Ones", numerous head fakes of NASCAR jet dryers on track, and DW sells his quota of Digger plush toys and reminding us that POS is the greatest RP driver in the history of forever.
Any word on smaller restrictor plates?
LATEST WEATHER ADVISORY

NASCAR has decided not to cancel Saturday's schedule at Talladega Superspeedway and will try to run the Aaron's 312 Nationwide race as planned.

Approaching storms bring the threat of severe thunderstorms and tornadoes Friday night and Saturday, but Talladega track Chairman Grant Lynch said the forecast also holds out the possibility of some sunshine.

Lynch said the track is advising fans who are already camped out around the track to take precautions, but he said there is no way that shelter can be provided for the 45,000 to 50,000 people who are already here.

He said that with about a third of the state trooper force at Talladega already and with all the fire and emergency personnel here the track may be one of the safer places to be in the event of severe weather.

If the Nationwide race is washed out, it might be run early Sunday morning or Monday but no decision has been made. Officials plan to meet again Saturday morning to re-evaluate the situation.
hold on to your hats!
Right! Because the State Troopers and the fire and emergency presonnel wil shoot down the tornadoes, and put out all the lightning stikes with their fire trucks!

I'd really like to see Cup qualifying and the Nationwide race happen on shcedule, without problems, but I think NASCAR and the Speedway are messing with folks safety here. To get crowds in the stands and waiting either for cars to hit the track or the days activities to be called is really dumb. There's very little doubt that the weather will get bad. Fans will get really wet at best, and seriously put in danger at worse. I hope NASCAR and ISC are fully paid up on their insurance policies.
"Get yer official NASCAR lightening rods right here folks, only ten dollars!"
The sad thing is there would be some people lined up to buy one.
As of 9:46 PM EDST, Wendy Venturini reports it's raining with a good lightning show.
Even if qualifying goes as scheduled, they wont have to make many changes at all.Laptimes were fast enough in racetrim with a taped up grill.
