I'm going to jump in here while this site is brand new.
RobbysUprising was a pretty good place until a huge pissing match broke out about "negative" posts. There were a lot of loyal Robby fans who didn't want to hear any criticism of Robby or his team.
Sorry, but that's bullshit.
Most of those accused of being negative on RuR were expressing their frustrations and stating it how they saw it. There is absolutley NOTHING wrong with pointing out faults with the driver (and his team) that one chooses to follow.
I'm hoping we don't get into the same kind of mess here. If you don't like a comment made by another member here, then just ignore it and move on. If it gets to the point where you don't like anything posted, then find somewhere else to go. DO NOT try to tell me, or anyone else, that we may be any less of a fan because we criticise Robby or his team - that's part of being a fan. Sure, our ranting and raving won't make RGM have any better results, but neither will blind devotion and fawning.
Let's all keep it real.

Is that what happened to the Uprising??? Well hell, I am on a poker site like this one and drama happens all the time, it can't be helped, it's the nature of the beasts sadly. How many race teams are there in CUP??? And how many of us have tried to run one........good grief people, drive a mile in his shoes........

Well said, Alan! My problem came when there were attacks between members, I don't have a problem with criticism of the team. I would imagine that RG does enough of that himself.

So is this going to be more of the same when it comes to name calling? What you said if very insulting to some of us to would rather not look at the dark side of everything. I'm willing to ignore the negative stuff, but it seems like you can't handle those of us who want to stay positve.
upRising was a pretty good place before Dakar and the first Daytona, then so many people joined. It was a pretty friendly site without personal attacks then. Not eveyone was a Suzie Sunshine, but we respect each other then.
If this is going to be nothing but a big slam session for every mistake RG makes, I guess many of us need to start another site where we are free to be positive without being called rahrah cheerleaders and ass kissers as we have been. Right off you start slamming us and I really don't understand why.
I'm not even getting why you need to bring it up and insult people again?? Did TOG start this to be more of the same??

Yep, you prolly do.
This season has totally sucked. Good grief, the team came unglued at Infineon. RG can win at that track--we all know it.
There are major problems at RGM. That's not negative--that just IS.

This won't be a slam session, but if RG makes a mistake we can talk about it and vent without worries.We felt some of the major asskissing at RuR was because people thought they were going to get christmas cards or acquire garage passes at a track of their choice because they rooted harder than the other.,and in hopes RG would take 'notice' of them. You need to pick your poison here. Come here to watch videos, listen to the new radio show, scanner updates , mingle with friends, whatever. Or you can vent if need be and not be judged as a RG hater, etc. I busted Chris the tirechanger's balls yesterday in good fun for the lugnut error at new Hampshire on the day he joined my site, and he was a good sport about it. It's all good. This site brought members from RGM because they DO CARE what we think and what we say and are also going to be quick to put those in their place if information is wrong, etc. Expect things to be rocky when RG has bad luck and great when he doesn't. Thats a given with all fans of any drivers. Just enjoy and don't enter threads that might make you mad.

Nothing I said was intended to be an insult to anyone, and if you took it that way then you are probably a bit too sensative.
We're all fans of Robby here, we just practice it differently.

Dude, no one on here is a hater just for the sake of being a hater (that is until OFR signs up). I'm not breaking any new ground by saying this, but seriously, if you can't stomach someone giving your favorite driver shit because he fucks up, then move along. People are just as passionate about baseball teams, football teams, etc. I don't see why rooting for a driver should be any different.
