Robby Gordon Martinsville Preview

Charlotte, NC (March 25, 2010) – The No. 7 Warner Music Nashville / Blake Shelton Camry speeds into Martinsville Speedway this weekend with high hopes after recording a season-best finish of 22nd at Bristol Motor Speedway last week. After an unlucky start to the 2010 season, the team looks forward to the challenge of recording another strong finish at the 0.526-mile short track to obtain a spot within the top-35 Sprint Cup Series owners’ points.

Robby’s Thoughts – “Martinsville Speedway is different from any other track on the Sprint Cup circuit,” commented Gordon. “Its tight corners and flat banking present a whole different set of challenges from every other short track that we visit. Not only is it a tough track on the driver, but it’s also hard on equipment. I’m confident in my team’s ability, and I’m sure that they built the Warner Music Nashville / Blake Shelton Toyota Camry to the challenges of Martinsville.”

I think its genius.
I think as long as he can keep the right front inflated and allthe teeth on the pinion it should be a good day
Sunday's goal is just to get locked into the top 35. This sucks, in Wuxi, China all month and it's Sunday night and the race does not start for hours. Nascar should run a race in Shanghai, that is f'n crazy traffic, almost as bad as Hydrabad, India. My driver today seemed like we were in Martinsville with 100 cars on the track, but no cautions at all.
I like it - a street circuit with regular traffic still there - that would be exciting
Hermie Sadler took RG for his 'C pick' for today's, opps tomorrow's race. He gave two reasons...Robby is points racing and will do whatever it takes to bring the car home in one piece, and his 2nd was he liked Blake Shelton.

Regardless, I don't think I've ever heard anyone taking RG for anything at Martinsville other than first caution.
What is everyone's prediction when RG will hear "that's the leader in your mirror". Lap 25 or so
The mess is all Blake Shelton's fault.
TV contract. FOX won't rearrange their broadcast schedule to start early. They have no problem blabbering several hours about the damn hot dogs or something, just to fill time now though.
IS FOX STILL AIRING
yes they are !
I'm happy the race is tomorrow. I worked a 12 hour shift today and would have missed it.
Looking good so far. Moving up and seems to be paitient too.
