Not even Wheaton, sounds like your doing better- Charging and on the lead lap!
Exactly.
Nope, You're wrong. Life is not black or white, on or off, hot or cold. There are many shades of gray between the two extremes.

I certainly don't object to realistic gripes, frustrations, or complaints. I'm one of the first to bitch when Robby wastes opportunities to practice by running only a half dozen laps in happy hour, for example. Or to be upset when a pit stop runs long, or when Robby fucks up and speeds on pit road.

Fans like me don't expect perfection. We don't ignore the bad finishes, or the idiotic press, or the fans of other drivers who only think Robby causes every wreck on every track. We see all of that, but still beleive in the vision that RGM represents.

Robby is in this for more than just winning races. It's not just about a bunch of trophys, or hanging banners in the shop. It's not about going on Regis and Kelly, or having the biggest house and boat and nightclub.

It's obvious that a bunch of you here just don't really pay attention. Robby has said many, many times that he is building an organization for the future. Organization - get it? It's not about the instant gratification of a win today, or a big sponsor endorsement, or the most popular driver award. Sure, those things would be nice, and would advance Robby toward the ultimate goal, but they are just steps along the way.

So those of us who DO pay attention get really pissed off when the rest of you morons spout off about how this is the end of Robby's career. When you give him shit for testing in San Filipe instead of waxing the Cup car. When you are so all-knowingly-superior in your conviction that he's wasting time competing in the Dakar rally, or the CORR series, or developing a stining monster truck.

What pisses me off is you all coming here saying you are a fan, but not even understanding who the hell the man is. He's not going to sell of RGM and drive for Childress. He's not going to give up NASCAR and devote his time 100% to ALMS or Indy car, or any other single-minded series. I'm a fan of Robby as a driver, and an owner, and as an entrepreneur in racing. I want to see him succeed not just in the next race, or the next season, but in building a racing empire that embodies the do-it-your-way spirit and becomes the template for motor racing into the future.

The gloom and doom, woe is me, piss in our cheerios attitude about a single race is just so short-sighted. Look at the big picture. Take the long view. Having a shitty race, or even a shitty season in one series or another isn't the end of the world. It's all a learning experience, and some of us are enjoying the ride, even with the ups and downs.
Where can I find and purchase those rose colored glasses? RG is an off road racer. If he is to stuborn to drive for a competititve team, then so be it, these are the results we will see again and again. I wish he could compete in Nascar, but reality has shown different, I am a Rabid Robby Fan, But at some point I would rather watch RG compete for at least a top ten or move on to where he can not only compete but dominate. JMO
didn't read hahaha

cliffs?
Alan4s- Are you Robby? You sure act/sound like your speaking for him. You critized more fans than anyone. Hey......fans boo and cheer that's what they do. You act like the fans that don't agree with you are INSULTING YOU. We are all cheering for our boy so Take it easy.
Yup.
And lighten up on RG, No one go's to your work and bust's your balls-What did people seriously expect when he's got Dakar going in the off-season, just let a few races, i mean practice sessions go by and maybe he'll be on to something, maybe Darlingtion with a spoiler might be a good comeback!
No kidding. Musician here. Eek out a living on the pub circuit. If I suck I get told right off. Ain't no room for error. No different for Rob only he makes tons more than I do. Love the man but ain't got no sympathy for sob stories either. Get it done or get off the stage and make room for the next guy who can.

GAS ON!

TURN LEFT, GO FAST!
It was more just a figure of speech there broski, of course EVERYBODY has something or someone to answer too- & celebrity? just a race car driver that need's some result's, not a photo in In Touch magazine
Next week should be better for RGM at Atlanta, if not, so be it, maybe he will close shop and go race something that he can be competitive in. Nascar races are getting old anyways, boring and RG has never figured out how to drive cars with fenders on ovals.

I'd rather see him run Indy cars, he is still a threat when he shows up at Indy, the whole field knows it.
noooooooo...not the dreaded "single car underfunded effort" now its officially going to be a long season...lol
