There seems to be alot of focus on who will be driving the 49 and the top 35 stuff and such all of which fits under the category of 'not our problem'. These are all things BAM deals with themselves.

As far as the parts that do concern us I agree with what several have posted in here about the benefits of working on two cars. Something nobody has really touched on is BAM's part of the arrangement which, as I understand it, includes marketing. Now I don't presume to know what aspects of marketing this is meant to cover but I would think that the single biggest marketing job for a Cup team would be securing sponsorship. Considering that BAM seems to have sponsorship in place for the season I am thinking this could likely mean that they are going to be working on securing sponsors for the 7.
Two teams working on securing sponsors increases the odds of finding sponsorship, definately can't hurt.
I am in no way claiming to have any inside information on this but it would appear to the naked eye that RGM perhaps is providing BAM with a few of last years cars as i'm sure as he stated a few times has built some new stuff. So considering a race team that never managed much of anything as far as finishes goes went out and landed Warner music or what have you to fund a full season while many bigger teams are still looking, shows they must have a pretty good hand at marketing. So it remains, how many of Robbys' people are either out of work or are now working with/for BAM on the marketing side. I still love that look of the 7up car that was posted here was there ever a fax sent of that graphic. Someone would have thought of that i'm sure but then again i'd hate to hear that it was blocked due to a "official sponsor". Having BAM as second car is a win win I can see this as a way for Robbys team to have a notepad and perhaps a "special team mate" come Daytona. that is what we have needed a dance partner if nothing else at the high banks.
Yes indeed but we all need to hope that they get in the same qualifing race.................
Many Many Years = 1.5?
for a small 1 car team, they wer emore than fineup through 2005 when they had Schrader behind the wheel.

They fell apart when Brent Sherman wasted their 5 race locked in to start 2006. Once a team like that fell out of the top 35 they were done...

Fast forward to now...with David Gilliand (if he is indeed the driver), I think he can get that car in the top 35 by the end of the year. Cannot expect to make the show at Daytona...but if he can make the other races from thereon he should be able to get that car in.
I bet Gilliland could put a RGM built BAM car in Daytona.....
They said Thursday they will announce a driver........
On Gilliands web site there is some excitement about BAM................
gillys gang
Is it still true that Hyder will crew chief the 49 and if so maybe he can get some retibution on Mikey after he sold him out to NASCAR for the Fuel Gate at Daytona.....I can see it now, Hyder wins the Daytona 500 in a RGM chasis and writes a tell all book about NASCAR cheats and the most rotten name in NASCAR Mikey....
Hate to throw water but:
Hyder staying at the Wood Brothers: David Hyder will continue in his role as crew chief with the #21 Wood Brothers Racing team and driver Bill Elliott in 2010. Hyder, 42, is enjoying his second stint leading the #21 Ford and is under contract with the team through the end of the 2010 season. "I've really enjoyed my time with the Wood Brothers," Hyder said. "We'll continue to run a limited schedule and build the program with Bill behind the wheel."(FoxSports), #49 BAM Racing recently said that Hyder would return to them as crew chief in 2010.(11-25-2009)
