STAGE 3: La Rioja > Fiambala

Connection 259km | Special Stage 182km | Connection 0km | Total 441km

Course Overview

It'll be on the third real day of racing that the competitors will have to deal with a first test. The change of context will be radical: with a switch from earth to sand and especially a dune portion of close to 30 kilometres. Other than their dimension that suits perfectly a first part of rally, these dunes are noticeable thanks to their white colour. In this new landscape, the crews will enjoy off-piste. They will also have to adapt to a change of climate and especially sand storms that are frequent in the area.

I wonder where BJ is?
I just can't wait to hear what Robby has to say about today's special. I hope he had minor problems. What kind of problems do you think he had today that is responsible for that hour?
I was just gonna post to see if anyone knew what happened. He went from ~12 minutes to over an hour - something must've broke or maybe he got lost? (considering Miller said he got lost)
I looks like live tracking is hosed up.
BJ @ km 74
BJ went through Km74 a few min. ago 5h36'49" behind the leader
he needs to hurry and get that Hummer in the shop
Yeah! he is still running. BJ can still salvage a good finish over the remaining stages and continue to support RGM.
The SBS site has the coverage from todays Bikes stage 3 up and running. You can get a good look at the terrain they were up against. Hopefully the Cars coverage of stage 3 will follow soon.
The Car coverage is now up and running too of Stage 3
Wow, looks like a number of teams/riders go lost on this stage, the checkpoint numbers are all over the board.
Looks like Carlo de Gavardo had major issues today, and had to get towed. Will give his Dakar status a bit later. BJ Baldwin still on course

This was on Twitter, I wonder if it is true and what this means will happen for him.
