JR Motorsports signs Danica

Can't believe that I'm the first to post this. Looks like Danica is going to drive JR's Nationwide car in a few races.

A chick with some talent & a guy with loads of talent no fight just (thump thump) as he runs her over. Kry or no Kry the boy can drive a race car like it or not.

I pitty her crew. They will be the laughing stock of NASCAR. It is the sexist motor racing series, I cant imagine the jokes the crew will have deal with up and down the pit lane.

On the plus side, she might actually be able to win an ARCA race, with the full backing of JR (Hendrick) Motorsports.

What a sad commentary on the state of Indy Car racing as well. She is the marquee name there, despite her lack of success and talent. Hornish and Dario accomplished things before trying something new. Any driver in IndyCar that can get a sniff of a ride in any of NASCARs three top series is going to bolt.

This seem's to smell like sour grapes Grey, I think like most others that she is Way Hot and will pull a lot fans to the stands.I really hope she can race a Cup Car. JMO. Not to mention a NW car

Hey, I'm not arguing that she is easy on the eyes. And I look forward to a new series of bikini pics.

She can attract interest, which has nothing at all to do with talent. And last time I checked it was what everyone here hated about the status of NASCAR. Or should I go back and check the post Dega threads to see what it was people were saying about Jimmie Johnson again? Because every time RG is scrounging for a sponsor the discussion turns towards drivers that are only in NASCAR based on looks and marketability and are at best marginal talents. And those drivers seem to the ones hated the most around here, or at the very least resented the most.

So why the pass for Danica?

if she signs with JRM or whoever,whenever,talent or no talent, she isn't the first woman to compete in NASCAR and won't be the last, like everything else Danica........hype.

I can see it now, Danica Patrick not only wheels a fender flyer but is qualified to drive a cup car in the few races she runs. Then a shadow appears it's jrs' sister, she has come out of the shop lab with a giant publicity stunt......

Yes folks you heard it here first PLANETROBBY is reporting that Jr motorsports is planning on having Danica
Patrick in here first Cup race in order to do the double duty.

Who cares?? She is a PR dream I know but as far as talent?? PLEASE...

As a woman I don't like that she is known for her assets and not her driving ability. Why does Go Daddy choose to have her commericals so risque? and why not Jr's and Brad's? Can you imagine if Jr or Brad did a commerical like hers?? They would be laughed out of the sport. Why is okay for her to be portrayed like that? Why does she allow herself to be used like that?

Does this mean that all girls coming up have to live up to the Danica mania? Forget that they can drive they have to look good... I thought we were so over that

IF I liked Dannnnnica that would be one thing, but I do not! Yes, she brings a lot of PR, but she also brings the temperment of a rattler and limited talent as has been stated. Wait til she starts whining about all the weight they have to put in her car to make her equal to the others! Oh, and Wench, she likes the sexy hype!

yea a pr dream but once again she will have the best equipment money can buy and do nothing with it...Just ask bobby rahal and andretti how much money they dumped into her for what to lead a couple laps at the indy 500 and win a fuel battle at twin montegi....dont see her doing much a best just sucking old JR dry...
