Well, Robby had a stout car in Happy Hour for Sundays cup race,talk here as he marches through the field from his rain-induced 31st starting spot.Robby came through the field rather easily in the Nationwide race until overheating ended his day.Hopefully the pit strategies will be good and Robby won't let the speeding penalty from Saturday influence him into running slow on pitroad , like 2007.

Okay...we all have vented and we're all disgusted at the way things gone, but Robby recently stated the COT has been very hard to get a handle on. The slightest adjustment can throw the whole car off.
The pre-race show said Jimmie Johnson has tested like 18 times so far this year. The COT is a much heavier car and just seems to be very hard to figure out.

I wonder if the GEM deal from GEM's side was so they could have a place to put decals if Carpantier missed a race. I hope Robby doesn't swith manufactures again, but if he does he needs to call on Childress and run RCR motors.

that seems to be the best thing GEM gave him, those decals were real pretty too. Hope it was worth it to him cause it's looking like he got screwed on that deal

Just to expand...Robby doesn't "get it". It's not just about being the best driver..that's a small part of it but you have to have the cars and even more than that you've got to treat your people the right way. good people in the right places can make a team. It's about being a good teammate and keeping moral high...especially as an owner. By he way does any one see a trend forming? 2006- everything ok with DEI until the Glen...then he bashes them and they go away....last year with Roush..everything hunky dory....until the Glen...RG bashes them and they go away...no he's bashing GEM....doesn't seem to matter what the engine is...Robby will finish poorly and blame the engine and then find something else the next year. Robby needs to realize that there is only so many bridges you can burn in Nascar.

RGM needs to go back to the KISS rule, Keep It Simple Stupid. They way over thought this race insteead of taking what they can. Assume the mileage, instead of checking after the first stop. Starting towards the back was a bummer, but you can still get up front. They way over think this thing to a top 20 instead of a top 5

Robby's a smart guy, he gets it all. but he's obviously a control freak, as am I, and I understand his need to do it all himself because he doesn't trust anyone else to do it right. it's kinda sad but that's how it is
