Anyone know officially why Nascar ** waited to ** throw a yellow at the end of the race yesterday? Geez they threw a caution earlier for paper and another for some rubber off the 44, yet the 34 spins at the SF and no yellow. I just keep thinking about Sonoma and the Caution that did Robby in. I just wish Nascar called it the same every time. ** Corrected said "didn't" before **

they were confused, it looked like an A&W cup....
I like it!
Cars spinning, everyone racing back to the line after the yellow went out. People getting badly hurt. Isn.t that why they stopped racing back to the line? With a car on the line, on the last lap, he was real lucky nobody hit him! What would NASCAR say if someone did? Damn dangerous is what i call it!!

I saw the yellow flag waving as the guys were approaching the finish.

Nascar may have thrown it a little late, but the yellow is clearly out before they hit the finish line.
Not bitching just wanting consistency. Passing below yellow lines, caution flags, aggressive driving penalties etc. Makes it tough to be a fan when there is so many different calls. You can go back to sleep now... ;)
The yellow didn't fly until they entered turn 4 (is it turn 4 at Martinsville or the end of turn 2?) anyway they were hesitant IMHO at best to throw it.
regardless when it was thrown, the opening statment of this discussion is

" Anyone know officially why Nascar didn't throw a yellow at the end of the race yesterday? "

and I am just showing that nascar DID throw the yellow at the end of the race.
If anything, I'm blaming TV for not going over analytical on where exactly the yellow lights came one. I remember previous last lap yellows where super slow motion replays were played over and over again to show exactly when the yellow lights came on. TNT/NBC was good at that with Weber offering over dramatic narration of things as they went...
Nascar let them race back to turn 4 ,and had the #34 been higher in the groove, it would have flown earlier.
