Gonna be a bit more tough to choose who goes home Im gonna go with the: 09, 13, 36, 37, and 64 going home on Thursday
Also noticed additional "new" sponsors
Marmon-Harrington, Global leaders in drivetrain innovation, power and performance. (maybe it come's w/ the Freightliner sponsor?)
EATON,Eaton Corporation is a diversified power management company with 2008 sales of $15.4 billion. Eaton is a global technology leader in electrical components and systems for power quality, distribution and control; hydraulics components, systems and services for industrial and mobile equipment; aerospace fuel, hydraulics and pneumatic systems for commercial and military use; and truck and automotive drivetrain and powertrain systems for performance, fuel economy and safety. Eaton has approximately 70,000 employees and sells products to customers in more than 150 countries. (maybe a tie w/ Freightliner and or Polaris??)
Reguardles - Nice Job Team Gordon & Welcome aboard.
Eaton also builds some kick ass superchargers
Actually this is Freightliner's first time as a primary sponsor for RGM, but this is not their first time sponsoring and supporting RGM. Freightliner has been on the #7 "C" piller many times. They were on the car at Daytona this year and on the car for a good part of 2008. All three tractors that RGM uses to go to the races are Freightliner's.

TOG this is why I never guessed Freightliner because on your "Guess the Sponsor" picture you said new sponsor. Not new Primary Sponsor. LOL! Do you believe me?
Details, details...OF course new primary was what I meant....lol...
I also wonder if any of this Freightliner primary sponsorship has anything to do with the new Dakar Support trucks we have heard about. They are suppose to be on a Freightliner chassis right? Maybe this is a way to help pay for those trucks, because awhile back I thought this races was listed unsponsored. I'm looking forward to seeing pic's on the new support truck.
RGM traded partial sponsorship for a new tractor.
Yep, I thought the same thing. (About it being a new sponsor but really just an associate stepping up)
No matter what the reason,I'm grateful that Freightliner is stepping up.Sure hope we can be worthy. Thanks Freightliner!!
Yea the new support truck is a Freightliner, he should take delivery of it soon by what I heard, two hummers in the shop in Cal, they where putting them together, they had just been powder coated, said the TT was going testing today
No doubt!
Great getting a new sponsor. The accountant in me says that, IMHO, RGM could not pay Freightliner directly for the RG Offroad trucks. There probably was some loan agreement between the two RG entities and an agreement for services in lieu of payment for Freightliner at both this race and the Dakar.

I would love to see some Manufacturer other then MAN will the Truck portion of the Dakar.
