Sorry, I heard nothing on the radio about what car this was. It did look good on Race View, Everyone on the bottom and Robby flying around them on the high line.
I hate to disagree about the car. To loose till the heat got in the tires, and just like the (29) Harvick long runs were our only chance. Running on the bottom wasn't a option. To be a top 5 car, you have to be able to do both.

But Robby jumping all over the pit guys for getting him a position is wrong. Screaming at them for ensuring they put the best car out on the track without debris in the grill. The 12 blocking his exit on the final pit stop. Hats off to the crew, no loose or missing lug nuts, and changes were made with no mistakes. Robby scares everyone including Kirk!
I wonder if Gilly will drop the required number of F-bombs at Richmond.
LOL, I have never heard Gilly on the radio. Kyle is a close second to Robby. :)

I think I would be feeling surly too with an aching back and a bloody looking eye. Robby is just intense when he is racing (even when just for fun). I was surprised when listening to an audio for the other Gordon (#24) during one race -- he must have hit some kind of f-bomb record, ha ha! His crew chief was just going 'uh huh - you're doing fine, just keep driving' over and over again.

Anyway, I thought that in spite of the slow pit stops - overall it was a great race for RGM.
LOL I can say I have never heard Jeff on the radio. He is so clean cut and proper.......

Don't get me wrong, it was a great race for RGR. I am happy to see the team moving the right direction.
I guess you don't run a business or manage a budget. Sure, fire them all and then what would you do?

The pitstop times were the best they have been last night. They were comparable to the leaders. Two slow ones and 1) they had to remove Kurt's car from the grill and 2) they were blocked in by the car in the front.

Chill man, you don't have any skin in the game. You're just a monday morning quarterback with 20/20 hindsight.
the car could run the bottom.....rob just likes the top....payattention...........he always prefers the top.............................everywhere possible......lap times on lap tracker as fast as the top five or faster all night............cot....all the fast cars are the same way at the start........look at the 48........junk til the first stop then the track cooled down and he was jack the bear.............look at the 1.....awesome to start...track got cooler and he was in the way......................7 24 29 9 83 48 5 42 all said the same thing as robby about the track all night............that is the cot.........
And yet when he runs the top, when has he never hit the wall???? This pit crew works on this car week in and week out. And most of the time it's at no fault of there own. This team and driver need to live and die on the same sword. Work together despite who's fault it is.
Please enlighten me. I am new to this web site, who are you? You speak as if you work on the team. Do you? If so, what position do you hold at RGM?

I understand Robby likes the top line. In fact I love watching him run as fast as he does up there. Now, why does he cut tires down up there? Is it the trash that ends up at the wall? Or is it just a wear issue. I don't know, I have been out of the racing world for 20 years and when I did it was off-road.


As far as the axel, it depends on where the break is. The 48 had to go behind the wall because the break was at the differential. And then they found a bad gear.
.......the axl broke on launch post pit stop........he didnt make it 50 feet and he said we broke something........he backed to the pit and they diagnosed a broken Left axle......they went to the garage and fixed the axle.......he made it to the end of pit road and he sadi that it feels as though the locker in the rear gear is broken........they went to the garage and replaced the gear and all was fine after that.....this happens often on a concrete pit road the break was on the ls axle at the base of the drive teeth....
