I was at Bristol in 2005 for the spring race, maybe it was the atmosphere of the night race, but i thought this was a very good race, the new layout gives drivers options other that running someone over. Im not sure how well tv captures the side by side racing throughout the pack

every nascar fan should try to attend a Bristol race, it is amazing
Thanks. I have been to Richmond the last three years and I told my son we need to go to Bristol. Is it still very loud? I went in the early eighties and it was awesome. A bowl cut into a mountain.
Just an FYI Andy, Chicagoland & Kansas are NOT progressive banking tracks.
Chicagoland is 18 degrees, I don't know what Kansas is. I believe it's a lil less
Bristol was a boring race until we got inside the last 100 laps and then we got some beating and banging. It seems like everyone was points racing until that point and then they wanted to go for the positions. This isn't the track's fault in my opinion, but the COT. Until NASCAR comes up with a design that allows most of the cars to have good handling characteristics in the corners with the current speed, you are not going to get a lot of passing and side by side racing. Why was it that there were only a few cars that could run up front all night?
it was a great race, the TV coverage I assume was crap. I saw Robby pull off a 3 wide pass that made my jaw drop last night. Many more crazy manuevers throughout the pack. You can pass at Bristol...you want proof. The 48, 2, and 11 all came back from major trouble by passing....that would not happen at the old Bristol.
Progressive banking is great at Homestead. That race was a snoozer until they redid it but the last few years it's been might exciting racing. Can't say the same for Bristol. Not sure if it's the banking or the COT but I sure missed Bristol of old.
I thought a low right rear would make the rear want to roll over the tire when you make a left turn. This would result in a loose condition.
Oh, makes sense. Tight in (wants to rotate clockwise) and loose off (rolls over the tire). Don't remember if he said loose in or loose off but Kirk did say it was down to 20 psi.
losing rr air pressure cuases the car to be wicked loose. Happened to Montoya last night as well
I have been a fan of Robby for years. Ever since I saw him run the Trans-Am race at Long Beach. I have seen the ups and downs of his career. I think people on here are way too sensitive. There are passionate fans that want Robby to get better, then there are fans that are happy that Robby is in the top 35 in points. Everyone has their own opinion and they are accused of bashing Roobby or whining. TOG is the worst at that, can't we all express our opinions without being attacked? We are all fans here and we squabble over nothing.
If it is we are just being too sensitive then my bad but I do not think so. I look forward to visiting planetrobby everyday to see what is going on at RGM. I look forward to the chat so I can talk with other RG fans. It gets old when folks bash RG and the team at every move.

I do not think folks should wear rose colored glasses but they should be respectful to RG, RGM, TOG, and the other members of planetrobby. The constant complaining and "see, I told you so ..." comments are an attack on the team. It takes away from the good discussion about setup, sponsors, and plans and probably chases some good folks away.
I hear what your sayin, I agree there are some negative people here at Planet Robby. I come here to talk about Robby with robby fans and get Robby G news that I wouldn't get anywhere else. I guess I just get upset when people start complaining as well. I have utmost respect foro RG, RGM and TOG
