Join in and discuss all the action from Watkins Glen right here. Robby will run BOTH races this weekend, as well as having PJ Jones in the #04. Weekend schedule as follows:

FRIDAY , 8-7-09

11:45am - 1:20pm NSCS Practice ( Ended up 15th quickest )

1:30pm – 3:00pm NNS Practice ( Ended up 2nd quickest )

3:10pm NSCS Qualifying ( Starts 22nd )

5:30pm NNS Final Practice (ended up 3rd )

SATURDAY , 8-8-09

10:10am NNS Qualifying ( Qualified 3rd quickest )

12:00pm – 12:45pm NSCS Practice ( Ended up 35th quickest )

1:20pm – 2:20pm NSCS Final Practice ( ended up 16th quickest )

2:30pm NNS Driver Introduction

3:00pm NNS RACE – Zippo 200 ( Finished 14th )

SUNDAY 8-9-09

1:30pm NSCS Driver Introduction (ESPN)

2:00pm NSCS Race – Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips at The Glen ( Finished 18th )

Wow, lot of whiners on here as well. I can't believe we have people claiming that they are done supporting Robby over this.

This is the kind of passion and emotion that makes it fun to follow RGM and is becoming extinct in NASCAR.

Those that are upset can go follow one of the other drivers, who will give you their boiler plate PR response after every race.

I am starting to get annoyed with the politically correct, unemotional, white toast direction of this sport as of late.
Here is a list of things that piss me off:
1. Boring robot drivers with canned responses
2. rule changes, points changes, car changes, track changes...
3. strap more foam on the car, the driver and the walls
4. add more grooves to tracks that don't need them (no more bump and run at bristol)
5. lots of competition cautions
6. caution for debris, so we can do a restart to add drama back to races that lost excitement due to previous
7. the official cleaner of nascar, the official fruit juice of nascar, the official cheese snack of nascar, the official...how about sponsoring a car....
8. fans who complain when we get a glimmer of excitement and drama back in the sport.

The Robby melt downs have been part of Robby since he started racing, there not going away. When he feels he's been cheap shotted he just can not let it go. If your a true Robby supporter you have to have thick skin, if you don't, Jeff or Jimmy could use some more band wagon fans. Here's to more beatin and bangin tomorrow can't wait.

lots mixed feelings in this post, all I have to say is that Robby Gordon is my driver, and always will be. I'm going to stand behind him no matter what.

hahhahah EFFF Logano..that was awesome....Our car looked like someting Mel Gibson was driving at the end of the Road Warrior!

Obviously, right or wrong, Robby felt like the 20 got into him and caused his tire and everything else to explode all over the track on that first caution.....the rest just stemmed from there.

And I will not agree with people who think it was stupid or dangerous when the fucking 3 would pull this crap all the time and got cheered for it like he was solving world hunger..

If the roles were reversed, and it was Robby hard into the tires and destroying a car, I think you would have used other adjectives than "awesome".

Good point. I still am in awe that he came in the pits in 2nd, and went out 9th. Yes there was some time spent "fixing" the hood, but I'm sorry that sliver of tape should not have lost him that many spots. If he goes back out 3rd or 4th (or Maybe even the same position), it could have been a completely different outcome.

I hope the pit crew is focused today, they need to gain positions in the pits not lose them.

Cup happy hour speeds are not encouraging. A pit gamble would seem to be in order depending on how the yellows wave.

Regarding yesterday...Rob was being Rob. I'm sure he didn't like what some kid was doing and decided to school him a bit. There's no right or wrong about it. It is what it is.

Regarding the lap 10 pit stop. That was grade A stupid. Stay away from the squirrles!
