Join in and discuss all the action from Watkins Glen right here. Robby will run BOTH races this weekend, as well as having PJ Jones in the #04. Weekend schedule as follows:

FRIDAY , 8-7-09

11:45am - 1:20pm NSCS Practice ( Ended up 15th quickest )

1:30pm – 3:00pm NNS Practice ( Ended up 2nd quickest )

3:10pm NSCS Qualifying ( Starts 22nd )

5:30pm NNS Final Practice (ended up 3rd )

SATURDAY , 8-8-09

10:10am NNS Qualifying ( Qualified 3rd quickest )

12:00pm – 12:45pm NSCS Practice ( Ended up 35th quickest )

1:20pm – 2:20pm NSCS Final Practice ( ended up 16th quickest )

2:30pm NNS Driver Introduction

3:00pm NNS RACE – Zippo 200 ( Finished 14th )

SUNDAY 8-9-09

1:30pm NSCS Driver Introduction (ESPN)

2:00pm NSCS Race – Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips at The Glen ( Finished 18th )

It does look good but that #47 seems even better. Ambrose only turned 4 laps to Robby's 11. Thanks for all the practice clips btw.

Single lap session, yes, multilap session, nope, Robby will run a safe lap and then go for it. I am looking forward to the race.

looks like RG overdrove turn #2 , and that basically killed his lap. 22nd not bad, considering almost everybody thought he would end up 40th after only outrunning 2 cars at that point of qualifying.

Nobody has ever won from beyond 18th. Steve Park did it (18th starting spot) in 2000. 15 of 25 wins have come from P1 to P3.

well i don't think this stat is going to be very informative for this race. Lot's of good drivers and cars Qual'd pretty bad today. They stated on the show that this is the first qualifying session for the COT as all the others have rained out + different tires this time. A good percentage of the people that laid down that 1 good lap will not be able to keep that consistancy for the entire race and someone will be there to pass them everytime..

This is also the first race here with the double-file restart. That'll change things up some.

Or it will be even more successful since there will be more leaders to pass each time. Could go either way. We'll see.

Not a HP issue at all. Robby said he got way loose , and it killed the lap. Thats it.
