The Nascar official sponsor list out numbers it's 43 car field by almost double. Over 80 companies are listed as official sponsors of the series. Collectively these sponsors pour millions into the series, battling to be the official brand of Nascar. Unfortunately, Nascar doesn't give back to the teams that make up the sport. Every race this year has had entires of unsponsored teams, and most races had one or more teams racing without sponsorship. Why doesn't Nascar use it's official sponsors to assist the under funded teams? It would seem Nascar would much rather have a team promoting it's sponsors than racing blank cars.

These sponsors didn't leave the sport, just the teams:
Camping World - left Robby Gordon, Kevin Harvick & others
Coors Light- left Ganassi Racing
Craftsman Tools - left AJ Foyt Racing (team shut down)
Exide Batteries -left Roush Racing (Burton was without a ride)
Exxon
Raybestos - left Stovola Bros (team shut down)
Sirius Radio
Sunoco
Viagra

Nascar needs to use it's sponsors to promote it's real product, race teams racing each other.

Funny how Craftsman went on to sponsor the truck series, and Exide is on Mike Skinner's truck this season.
Gee Zoom, I never knew that Viagra was the official enhancement drug of NASCAR... They must of kicked old Bob and Enzite to the curb.
