CHARLOTTE, NC (July 24, 2009) – Robby Gordon returns to Indianapolis Motor Speedway this weekend for the 16th running of the Brickyard 400. Johns Manville, a leading manufacturer of premium quality building insulation, returns as the primary sponsor of the No. 7 Camry. The team will look to emulate the success achieved with Chassis 300 during the Coca-Cola 600 this weekend on the famed 2.5 mile oval.
Thoughts on the Brickyard – “Pulling into the track last night reminded me of the tradition and history of this race track. Even though it became famous through open wheel racing, NASCAR has made a huge impact on the track. Indianapolis has always been a special place for me. Over the years, I have competed here in so many different races that I always look forward to coming back. Johns Manville / Menards are returning as the primary sponsor of the No. 7 this weekend. I look forward to having a good run with them onboard, just like the Indy Car days,” commented Gordon.
Appearance Schedule – Gordon will be at the Carmel Menards this evening from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., which is located at 2150 East Greyhound Pass, Carmel, IN 46033. Gordon will be signing autographs on Sunday at his souvenir trailer at 10:15 a.m.
TV and Radio Times – Qualifying is set for Saturday, July 25th at 10:00 a.m. (ET) on ESPN, MRN, and Sirius Satellite radio. The legendary Brickyard 400 will begin on Sunday, July 26th at 2:00 p.m. (ET) and will be broadcast live on ESPN, MRN and Sirius Satellite radio.
