I sure hope RGM is working on their fuel strategy for the road course races this year.
Every year we have one of the fastest cars, only to get beat by some wanker on fuel mileage. Last year was the worst by far.
I'd be more thrilled by a well-planned top 10 finish rather than leading the first half of the race only to finish 34th behind Sadler and Andretti...

Yes. I can never understand why he doesn't do just what the leaders do. Like you say, Burton and people always get there in the end even when they look washed out to sea.
Fuel mileage has a lot to do with how the driver uses the pedal. Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but its true.
also the cc can't run him out of fuel like last year...they never got close to trying their fuel strategy after that little number....

I was there when he won in 2003 and each year I go to the race thinking "win". This year, I'd just like to see him be in the top 5 with 20 laps to go and let him do some of that driving shit he's known for...
thats what I want. 20 laps to go, everybody good with fuel(no excuses) . Doublefile re-start, him sitting 4th or 5th, and then using his A+ skill to win the race.
That would be great!!
Anything but another fuel mileage race. I know it is part of the game, but Let's see Robby school them.
Infineon and Watkins glen will always be a fuel milage race because someone who doesn't have a chance at a top 15 such as Clint Bowyer (who has 3 consecutive top tens at Sonoma) will pit about 5 laps early, luck into a damn caution that Nascar always throws at lap 70 and the fuel milage race will be on. It will happen, mark it down now.
Yeah 2 top 5s at the road courses is surly what the doctor ordered... Also the Indy test may have helped... The new pass around rule would work at Indy if he does lose a lap early because he didn't DO WHAT THE LEADERS DO!
I'm 9 years old can sombody tell me if Robby ever talks onhere anywhere?
2003 repeat is what we need!
They really need to add laps to this race...I hate the pit strategy and the race doesn't last long at all, make it longer and have drivers with talent battle it out, not the car that gets the best fuel mileage.

I also use to think the best track that needs lights would be Talladega, but how cool would a night race be at Sonoma or Watkins Glen! That would be an awesome race to watch.

And add Montreal to The Chase...need 3 -4 road courses, 2 just isn't enough.
