Congrats to Robby Gordon and the entire RGM crew for their 3rd place finish today at Charlotte.
Robby stayed out during the last caution for rain, and the rain never stopped. Prior to the yellow, Robby did manage to stay on the lead lap and had a car that got good on the long runs. Robby admitted during a rain-delayed interview that the car was probably a top 15 car, but great strategy improved that finish.

If there is no problem with the rear end. How does he stand now with points?
Moves the #7 up to 33rd. 62 points behind the #55 and 197 points ahead of the #82 (36th place)
man, you guys scared the crap out of me. I can't find anything that says RG failed post race inspection. When NASCAR finds something they haven't thought about they do this. They did it with Hendrick shocks a couple of years ago and there were no penalties. I just hope that whatever RGM thought up to do to the rear end housing doesn't get outlawed or leaked. The conspiracy theory crowd here is getting a little out of hand.
he prob builds his own housings...and nascrap doesnt like many outside the box thinkers
If there are no definitive rules on the rear end, he can't be in violation of them. Isn't that how JJ won 3 championships and the other Gordon 4? That puts Kirk in a class with Knauss and Evernham. I think we have a winner! Great to see a P3. The best car doesn't often win these things, mostly a combination of brains and luck. Some drivers have much more of one than the other ; )
Nowhere does it say that the rear-end housing was illegal, or that he failed post-race inspection. It says they took the rear-end back to the R&D center for further evaluation. More than likely something they haven't seen done before, and want to look it over.

We'll be fine, the sky isn't falling...
that was a good one ! haha.... that made my day lol
I was just saying that the standard was set at 200 points with carl long . i hope it was a r&d thing they wanted to look at who knows?? just saying we will not be sure until thursday what is going on
no.. that's not the standard.. that was a rule violation thats stated clearly in the rule book.. plus... The engine is the biggest no no to mess with, Nascar always crashes down hard on violations to engines.
maybe but it is on fanzone now iam sure he is hearing about it from the press
fanzone?
OK I CAUGHT A LITTLE MESSAGE IN NASCAR.COM THIS MORNING THAT DURING POST RACE INSPECTION THE TOOK A REAR AXLE OF ROBBYS BY TO R&D FOR NASCAR? ANYONE KNOW ANYMORE ON THIS. GOD I HOPE THERE NOT TRYING TO BURST OUR BUBBLE ON A GOOD DAY!
